Schön dass du eine Lösung gefunden hast. Zu Gimp: er kann natürlich in
allen möglichen Formaten speichern, nicht unter dem Menü Speichern, sondern
Exportieren.
Was ganz anderes: ich habe entdeckt, dass Openoffice Draw wunderbar in dem
alten Format WMF speichert, ohne jeglichen Verlust, diese

Testweise habe ich OpenOffice geschlossen und wieder geöffnet. Danach
ließ sich die geänderte jpg-Datei hochkant korrekt in Writer einfügen.
Die xcf-Datei allerdings nicht.

die ich noch nie genutzt habe (ich nutze normalerweise IrfanView - und
hatte bisher noch nie solche Probleme mit der Einfügung von
Grafikdateien in OpenOffice). In Gimp stellte ich fest, dass das mit
meinem Smartphone

Kan zijn dat de installatiebestanden zijn verwijderd waardoor 4.1.14 niet goed
wil installeren.
Kijk eens bij de Instellingen > Programma's verwijderen of 4.1.13 daar nog
staat.
Als dat zo is, probeer die dan eens te Repareren en, als dat
Open office niet meer te openen,
Paar keer 4.1.14 programma gedownlaod maar installeren lukt niet; 4.1.1.13 zit
in de weg, maar het lukt me niet om dat te verwijderen.

Ich habe die gleiche Version unter Linux Mint laufen, die Menüs sind sehr
gut lesbar. Wir sind übrigens keine profitorientierte Firma, Ihr Ton
könnte freundlicher sein.

In allen Fällen ist die Darstellung der OO-GUI
There were pieces of an old version of OpenOffice lurking in my system.
I
removed them and reinstalled OpenOffice (from https://www.openoffice.org/)
and OpenOffice is working now.

As mentioned in the subject of this email, I am unable to open the app even
though I had already update it to the latest version. I have to restart my PC
in order to view the file that I want to open using OpenOffice Writer. I can
open the file using other applications but except

I currently have a Windows 10 laptop, with documents saved in Microsoft Works
or .wps (2007) onto a flash drive.
