I have just downloaded OO2.2, and installed it on my 2.0GHz Celeron (with 736Mb
RAM) PC which runs on Windows XP Home.
When trying to open any of the OO applications, I get the message 'soffice.BIN
- Application Error: The application failed to initialize properly

I've downloaded and installed OpenOffice four times. Each time I try to run
the program I get the unpack files installation wizard. I cannot run the
program after doing this and successfully installing it. I tried the repair
function as well several times.
I am running Win Vista Basic on a HP lapt
Today I opened up my computer and was directed to register with Open Office
(I think this is the second time I have done this). I registered and filled
out the survey. Now I can't open any of my Open office files. What is
happening here?

This worked on my Windows machine just fine. Nothing comes up on the
Mac though, but it must be a set-up problem I guess as it works
elsewhere.
