The steps roughly would be to put that storage domain in maintenance then
edit/redefine it. You have the option to set gluster mount point options
for the redundancy part. No need to set dns round robin.

For a proper upgrade there are specific steps that you follow for each host
and the engine.
I usually upgrade the hosts first then the engine. If you have spare

seamless. Also i think you need to go strp by step: 3.5 -> 3.6 ->
You may try to put host in maintenance then reinstall by deploying engine

Hi All,
I have a ovirt 4.1.9 self hosted setup with 3 servers. As storage gluster
is used in replica 3.
I have at a cluster the following error, and this seems to have risen
following a routine update (software packages) of the servers.
When trying to delete a snapshot of a VM I get at GUI:

I see also that the last 4 or 5 weeks (after I upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2) I
have to almost every week go and refresh the servers (maintenance, reboot)
to release the RAM. If I leave them the RAM ill be eventually depleted from
gluster services. I am running gluster 3.12.9-1 with ovirt
Hi all,
I did a routine maintenance today (updating the hosts) to ovirt cluster
(4.2) and I have one VM that was complaining about an invalid snapshot.
After shutdown of VM the VM is not able to start again, giving the error:
VM Gitlab is down with error. Exit message: Bad volume specification
) to plain KVM where I had never
experienced such issues.

Hi all,
I have a cluster with 3 nodes, using ovirt 4.1 in a self hosted setup on
top glusterfs.
On some VMs (especially one Windows server 2016 64bit with 500 GB of disk).
Guest agents are installed at VMs. i almost always observe that during the
backup of the VM the VM is rendered unresponsive
Thanx.
Now the link is ok.

Hi,
You should be ok with the setup.
I am running around 20 vms (linux and windows, small and medium size) with
the half of your specs. With 10G network replica 3 is ok.

Hi Sebastian,
In case you would like to use SSH you need to setup SSH keys for vdsm user
of at least one of the ovirt hosts in order to SSH from it to the remote
KVM host (lets name it kvmhost) as below:
1. Edit temporarily the /etc/passwd of one host of your ovirt cluster. (say

Hi all!
I wanted to check from your experience what would be the best approach to
change the IP addresses of the engine and hosts on the management network.
I have a 3 node cluster (in production) on ovirt 4.1 with engine and hosts
resolving through /etc/hosts files on hosts and engine. The hosts
