Hi all,
I have replica 3 with 1 arbiter.
When checking the gluster volume bricks they are reported as using

Thanx, I can confirm that this way i may transfer VMs, but I was thinking a
more dirty and perhaps portable way.
Say I want to get to a external disk just one VM from DC A and copy/import

I've seen also articles converting the VM disk to
usage of data
on the data volumes, except the "vms" volume used for storing vms.

Hi all,
I have setup a self hosted setup with 3 servers with several volumes in
replica 3.
These gluster volumes are set on a separate network (on separate NICs on
same servers), dedicated for gluster traffic. The engine does not have any
NIC in this network.
The ISO storage domain is also on top
performance of storage network.

I usually upgrade the hosts first then the engine. If you have spare

Hi,
you need a second host so as power management to work.
Since you verified it with command line then adding a second host should
resolve this issue.
In regards to the interface, you need to remove the bridge interface as
instructed (make it a simple interface) then leave ovirt to configure it
Hi All,
Would appreciate for any ideas what to check further on the issue.

In case you need HA for the engine you need to deploy it to other hosts
also through the GUI.

Hi,
You should be ok with the setup.
I am running around 20 vms (linux and windows, small and medium size) with
the half of your specs. With 10G network replica 3 is ok.

to be a race issue with libvirtd.

Hi Sebastian,
In case you would like to use SSH you need to setup SSH keys for vdsm user
of at least one of the ovirt hosts in order to SSH from it to the remote
KVM host (lets name it kvmhost) as below:
1. Edit temporarily the /etc/passwd of one host of your ovirt cluster. (say
node0 for example
Hi all!
I wanted to check from your experience what would be the best approach to
change the IP addresses of the engine and hosts on the management network.
I have a 3 node cluster (in production) on ovirt 4.1 with engine and hosts
resolving through /etc/hosts files on hosts and engine. The hosts
Indeed the behaviour has not changed.
When adding users at 4.1 with ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool i still need to add them
through gui for users to be listed in gui.

Hi all,
I have the following issue with repo of 4.1 version:
I am doing:
yum install http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/yum-repo/ovirt-release41.rpm
yum update
then I get:
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7/storage/x86_64/gluster-3.8/repodata/repomd.xml:
[Errno 14] HTTP Error 404 - Not Found
Trying
I am also experiencing random issues with this mailing list, even before
the upgrade. Some replies I never receive them ( I know this because a
friend of mine relays the emails I dont get...). I tried to unsubscribe and
subscribe but I still face this issue.

Hi all,
I am trying to setup ovirt 4.2 self hosted with 3 nodes.
I have done several 4.1 installations without issues. Now at 4.2 I get:
[ ERROR ] fatal: [localhost]: FAILED! => {"changed": false, "msg": "Unable
to resolve address\n"}
[ ERROR ] Failed to execute stage 'Closing up': Failed execut
hostsv4 v0.mydomain | grep v0.mydomain" on that machine?

I overcame this with:
run at host:
/usr/sbin/ovirt-hosted-engine-cleanup
Redeployed then engine
engine-setup
This time was ok.
Thanx,
Alex

You could try at cluster -> console, to overwrite the default with your
