SOGo will try to expand that group, but there are no members in it, so it will not work. Kind regards, Christian Mack Hello Christian, I removed the objectClass: posixgroup for every user and everything started working. I need every user to have its own group because of the file group ownership. It's the default scheme in CentOS/RedHat systems. I might change that in the future in our systems. I created a separate group(including objectClass: posixgroup) for each user under Groups(in LDAP) and for sure I added this particular user as a memeber. Really thank you for your help. Just one remark - in SOGo 1.3.5a the calendar sharing worked even if the user in LDAP had both posix objects. Something has changed in SOGo. As I said the sharing works fine now but the message WARNING(-[NSNull(misc) length]): called NSNull -length (returns 0) !!! still apeears in the log right after invoking the Sharing window. The same message I get when opening Calendar Properties or displaying events in Calendar - one error message per event in the calendar - for example 4 events in the week view result in 4 error messages, 6 events in the month view produce 6 error messages. I can't see any malfunction now except the messages. Is there any way to trace the errors? Thank you, Michal -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] SOGo 2.0 ZEG strange timezone behavior
I had problems with all-day events created by MS Outlook using the MS Exchange connection on my SOGo server. Therefore I decided to test it on the latest ZEG edition but the problem persist. I setup SOGo, system and Windows to use the same timezone in ZEG. I found a strange behavior - if the timezone is GMT or any other GMT +h zone then all all-day events created with MS Outlook (2007, 2010) go one day back in the web interface. For example if I create an all-day event to happen on 25th Oct in Outlook it is displayed as an all-day event on 24th Oct in SOGo. If I setup the time zone as any GMT -h zone everything works fine. Re: [SOGo] SOGo 2.0 ZEG strange timezone behavior
Hi, do you have correctly set your time zone in ZEG system and in SOGo? You can adjust the ZEG system time zone by running the following command (it's interractive): sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata the default password is sogo Modify the SOGo time zone too: sudo service sogo stop defaults write sogod SOGoTimeZone Europe/Prague sudo service sogo start Use your time zone name you have set in previous step. Just to share the experience, what Windows do you use and what MS Outlook version? Regards, Michal Dne 17.10.2012 12:56, Burkart Orlowski | Onlinehelp24 napsal(a): Almost the same for me. When this error occurs? During Funambol start? I would recommend reviewing SOGo Installation Guide - Funambol chapter. Make sure you have followed every step including install-modules command. Re: [SOGo] sogo apt repository breaking sssd on wheezy (libldb1)
Hi MJ, The same problem is on CentOS 6, simply the sssd is dependent on samba4 libs that are different from the libs from the SOGo repo. I tried to use LDAP authorization only but I run into difficulties and after reading several articles and several attempts I gave up. I don't want to recompile the sssd and I need the regular updates to reduce the maintenance effort. Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v2.3.1
Dne 31.7.2015 v 18:25 Ben napsal(a): I nominate adding the database schema upgrade script to the deb and rpm install/upgrade scripts. It would need to detect the current db schema version and apply the appropriate db updates. Which it surely does already... That automation alone would probably reduce friction by 5%. It is not that easy. It first would have to scan your config, in order to find which DBMS you use. Some are even using multiple DBs. I think it would be relatively straight-forward and avoid lots of upgrade confusion for SOGo to store in the db the db schema version. Then when SOGo starts up and connects to the db, it checks that the db schema version matches the version it is expecting. If it isn't, it throws an error and stops. This forces the admin to read the instructions and do the db backup, run the upgrade script, etc. But it prevents someone from doing a quick upgrade and running a new version SOGo against an old db schema and having weird problems, etc. Ben I also agree. It would be nice if all database changes were applied when upgrading binary packages like rpm. Just imagine a scenario when a new major update is released and installed automatically except its database part and the responsible admin is out somewhere and SOGo stops operating after a service reload. All packages are installed under root user and it means that upgrade scripts can see SOGo configuration and react appropriately. No! You have to do that manually. I nominate adding the database schema upgrade script to the deb and rpm install/upgrade scripts. It would need to detect the current db schema version and apply the appropriate db updates. Which it surely does already... That automation alone would probably reduce friction by 5%. whatever is done, remember: The db don't have to be on the same host as the SOGo daemon is! We have i.e. have multiple SOGo frontend server and a postgresql cluster (with pgpool) in the background. Single server scenarios are not all there is. Marc I agree but SOGo always accesses its database using a defined connection from sogo.conf. The same connection can be used to deliver a DB update. It's not important if the database is on the same server. I have no experience with pgpool but I believe any DB update can be delivered too. It would be really helpful if these DB changes come with the corresponding binary packages. Michal -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
[SOGo] SOGo Web interface - Refresh view
Hello, I have just one question regarding the SOGo Web Interface. Its Refresh view is set to Every 5 minutes. The Mail module works good and new emails appear within the given period, but the Refresh works partially in the Calendar. New events regularly appear in the Events list only and not in the month or week view. Tested in IE, Firefox and Chrome. Has anybody else the same experience? Re: [SOGo] SOGo Calendar Resources | Free/Busy Times
Hi Irma, we use LDAP for users and resources. Just to comment some entries, Multiplebookings attribute works as expected the resource can be booked only once if set to 1, free/busy is shown correctly. We use mailgroup class so that our resource can have its own email address, the email address is fictitious. With mailgroup class comes email attribute. Additionally our resource is located in the same tree (ou=People,dc=example,dc=com) as the other users. As a result when creating a new event with the resource as a participant we get a hint (name of the resource) after writing first three letters (Mee...). It's given by the fact that SOGo offers hints only from the first configured LDAP resource in sogo.conf. It works in SOGo web interface and in Thunderbird with SOGo Integrator. Re: [SOGo] SOGo Calendar Resources | Free/Busy Times
Hi Irma, It's not important whether you have mailGroup objectClass or not. You need to add any objectClass that contains an email attribute. Just review the objectClasses you mentioned for the email attribute and choose one. Then check all attributes of the objectClasses, some attributes can be mandatory and some are optional. Choose an objectClass ideally with no mandatory attributes or mandatory attributes that already exist in your resource definition (sn, uid, ...) then just add the email attribute.
