Normally in AD you have to use ldaps, startTLS or Kerberos for Auth to the
LDAP. In your config I don't see any of that.

Re: [SOGo] Sogo drive link to a shared folder

2022-09-07 Thread Christian Naumer
That is always the issue in a Browser. For security reasons it is not
possible to open a file-link in a browser easily. The feature could be
misused.
That is also the case in Thunderbird. Otherwise you could open sensitive
data without the user knowing (like hiding the Link in the html code of
an email etc)

No. No specific indications. However their product is:

And I don't see any indication that they will support Thunderbird. Come

As mentioned our best bet is to work to get most of this into TB itself

Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird 102 support

2022-06-27 Thread Christian Naumer

Hi all,
I have been testing the 102 betas with SOGo for some time. It is
actually quite usable without the connector. There are some things that
do not work:

-- Creating new calendar/address book on the server (web interface has
to be used)

-- Subscribing to other users calendars only works if you go through the
whole process of entering a new caldav account.

-- Giving other users access to your calendar/address book (web
interface has to be used)

-- Address lists (They will never work without changes on the SOGo
server side)

Given this announcement
(https://www.mail-archive.com/users@sogo.nu/msg31386.html) I doubt that
there will be an update for the Thunderbird connector.

We will probably use it without the plug-in in the future.

It is probably better to talk to the Thunderbird people if they can
integrate some of the missing features.

Christian

Hi Ludovic,

test it further).
I edited a contact on the client. The change synced OK to the server.
However, the contact was not listed anymore on the client after editing

I see these messages in the error console (probably not related to the

Also when I tried to install it into an existing profile I had from

gone again. Not sure what happened there.

I will test more. Let me know if you need something specific tested.

As we are using the release packages. Can I go back to those once the
update with the new Version is released?

Re: [SOGo] SOGo 4.2.0 - An error occured while removing auto-reply

2020-01-17 Thread Christian Naumer
We are using cyrus-imap and we have a problem that I think is related.

When we enable vacation via sogo-tool like this:

sogo-tool user-preferences set defaults fe -p /etc/sogo/sieve_new.creds
Vacation '{"Vacation": {"daysBetweenResponse": 7, "enabled": 1,
"autoReplyEmailAddresses": ["x...@brain-biotech.com"], "endDate":
1578438000, "startDateEnabled": 1, "autoReplyText": "This is an
automatic notification", "alwaysSend": 0, "endDateEnabled": 1,
"ignoreLists": 1, "startDate": 1576875600}}'

we get this error:

<0x0x12c8420[SOGoCache]> Cache cleanup interval set every 300.00 seconds
<0x0x12c8420[SOGoCache]> Using host(s) 'localhost' as server(s)
sogo-tool: Uncaught exception NSInvalidArgumentException, reason:
-[SOGoMailAccount updateFiltersWithUsername:andPassword:]: unrecognized
selector sent to instance 0x16ccdd0

Or is this something different?

Christian

Re: [SOGo] SOGo 4.2.0 - An error occured while removing auto-reply

2020-01-09 Thread Christian Naumer
We have the same problem. We have a lot of scripts using sogo-tool to
manipulate vacations messages, sieve filters etc and they all do not
work anymore.

Errors look like this:

sogo-tool: Uncaught exception NSInvalidArgumentException, reason:
-[SOGoMailAccount updateFiltersWithUsername:andPassword:]: unrecognized
selector sent to instance 0x249f9c0

when we try to install a default sieve script.

[SOGo] Thunderbird Plugin vor Version 68

2019-11-11 Thread Christian Naumer
Hello,
es habe Just how noticed tust with the new version 68 plugin address book sync
only works up to ~200 contacts ±30. I only noticed this now as I made a new
profile for a user that has this address book with 4000 contacts and he had 0
of those and only some of his other address books were complete. So a deleted
and subscribed all of them desperately and those with less than 200 were all
complete only the one with 4000 got stuck at some number around 200
(217,230,220 etc). There is nothing in the error console of TB and nothing on
the server in the logs. Sync just stops after those 200.
I can reproduce this if I subscribe to the address book so I don't think it is
account related.
This works with TB60 and the old plugin. That is how I got the user their
address book back. New profile on TB60 sync the address book and then upgrade.

Can anybody reproduce this? Anything I can do to debug?

Thank you for finding the fix.

As for the other problem. For you Addressbook sync works?

Just so I can start looking where our problem is.

[SOGo] Thunderbird Plugin

2018-09-17 Thread Christian Naumer
Just tested it now with freshly installed plugins from the nightly
builds. On Linux x64 with TB 60. It still does not work.

The auto completion works for us as long as we set the LDAP-address book
option. This setting is lost if the application is restarted. But this
is I think a Thunderbird bug as we have this behaviour on TB52 as well.

I also should mention this works fine on TB52 with the 31.0.6 plugins
against the same server.

Tried that also but Calendar sync was somewhat broker:
I could create an entry and this was synchonised howerver updating that
entry did not sync back. Reseting the calendar cache resulted in an
empty calendar and this in the error console of TB:

TypeError: getBrowser(...) is null[Weitere Informationen]

TypeError: cal.provider is undefined[Weitere Informationen]
CalDAVACLManager.js:140:13

Hi,
we already use a similar php script. The problem here is that the new
version does not work on TB 52 and the old version also does not work on
TB 60.
We might push the extension in the profile folders of the windows users.
Will see how that works.

As I am testing this also at the moment.
How do people handle the upgrade? As the version 60 plug-in doesn't work
on TB version 52 and the version 31 plug-in does not pull the update if
it is running on a version 60 Thunderbird.
I would hate to manually install the plug-in for >100 Users.

[SOGo] Thunderbird Plugin

2018-07-26 Thread Christian Naumer
Hello all.
Thunderbird 60 is now a Release Candidate. And there are major changes
to the Addon structure. The current plugins do not work at all. In
prevision releases at least some functionality was present this is not
the case with TB 60.
What are the plans regarding the support for TB?

Yes it is. You need to install the certificates at the distro level
(localtion can be specified in /etc/openldap/ldap.conf) or configure
/etc/openldap/ldap.conf to not check the certificates with:

TLS_REQCERT never

Location of the files may vary. This is for Centos.

Sogo.conf looks like this:

SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = displayName;
IDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
UIDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
bindAsCurrentUser =YES;
baseDN = "cn=xx,dc=xx,dc=xx,dc=xx";
bindDN = "CN=xx,CN=xx,DC=xx,DC=xx,DC=xx";
bindFields = (
sAMAccountName
);
bindPassword = "xx";
listRequiresDot = NO;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = xx;
hostname = "ldaps://xx.xx.xx";
id = xx;
isAddressBook = YES;
SearchFieldNames =
(sAMAccountName,displayName,mail);
}

As you can see we have the domain name as ldap server this des a "crude"
load balancing as the DNS returns the IPs of all DCs in the ActiveDirectory.

You should use either

SOGoIMAPServer = "imap://server.t.ld:143/?tls=YES";

to do tls (STARTTLS) on port 143

or

SOGoIMAPServer = "imaps://server.t.ld:993/";

Which is TLS on a dedicated port (993).

Combination of imaps with ?tls=YES does not work.

[SOGo] Migration from LDAP to AD

2017-02-13 Thread Christian Naumer
Hello,
we have SOGov2 and SOGov3 running with same DB as backend. The DB is on
the SOGov2 host running on Centos6. SOGov3 is running on Centos7.
Actually most everything is working fine. However we recently migrated
from a pure LDAP (Samba with LDAP backend in NT-Style domain) to an AD
running on Samba. We configured the "new" LDAP servers in SOGo and
mostly everything worked. However on the v2 instance of SOGo the name
(given name, last name) of the users is not displayed in the
webinterface and also not as sender in Emails. Only the UID (loginname)
is displayed. And if I export user via sogo-tool there is also a
difference:

Here for my account login name in "cn".

In V2 (Version 2.3.19 (root@shiva.inverse 201701200021))

displayname: Christian Naumer
c_cn: cn

In V3 (Version 3.2.4 (root@shiva.inverse 201701100254))

displayname: Christian Naumer
c_cn: Christian Naumer

Both versions have the same sogo.conf file (see below).

SOGoUserSources = (
{
 CNFieldName = displayName;
 IDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
 UIDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
 bindAsCurrentUser =YES;
 baseDN = "cn=Users,dc=xx,dc=xxx,dc=xx";
 bindDN = "CN=,CN=Users,DC=xx,DC=xxx,DC=xx";
 bindFields = (
   sAMAccountName
   );
 bindPassword = "xxx";
 listRequiresDot = NO;
 canAuthenticate = YES;
 displayName = XXX;
 hostname = "ldaps://dc1.xx ldaps://dc2.xx ldaps://dc3.xx";
 id = XXX;
 isAddressBook = YES;
 SearchFieldNames = (sAMAccountName,displayName,mail);
}
)

Does anybody have an idea how to fix this? As they share the same DB I
don't know where to look.

Regards

Christian

[SOGo] Preferences in V2 and V3

2016-06-08 Thread Christian Naumer
Hello,
we are using SOGo v2 and v3 in parallel using the same DB as backend. I noticed
that some
preferences do not show up in v3 if set in v2. For example the "DelegateFrom"
and "DelegateTo"
options. How does each version know which part to pull from the DB? And
specifically for these
parameters I would expect that setting it in one version is enough.

Also we found that delegation is not working for us in V3. I filed a bug report
for this (https://so
go.nu/bugs/view.php?id=3720). Does anyone also see this?

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v3.0 beta 3

2015-10-25 Thread Christian Naumer
I have question regarding v3. What are the plans in using the v2 and v3
interfaces in parallel? I like the new interface a lot on tablets and
smartphones but on a large screen it does waste some space.

Then as a small bug report in v3 some buttons (vertical dots on calendars and
mail folders) do not work with Firefox. They do work with chrome.

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v3.0 beta 2

2015-09-23 Thread Christian Naumer
Hello,
don't know if I should file bug reports for the v3 or do it here on list
as this is work in progress. So I'll just list the points here and file
a report if wanted later.

Calendar:

Week and Month views do not work (nothing happens if clicked). Tried
Firefox and Chromeium on Linux an Firefox on Windows

In the calendar view I can not deselect my own calendar with Firefox.
This works with chromium

The list view of the events (which I think takes up to much space and
should be optional) does not look good if a single event has a very long
title. The starting time and the description then overlap. Probably a
line break would be good here.

Mail:
In the preferences the Email-> "Filter". If I want to edit a filter I
cant select all my folders eg SPAM is filtered to INBOX/SPAM but only
INBOX is selectable (Works in V2 of SOGo). IMAP separator Problem?

This is all I found so far.

Regards

Christian

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v3.0 beta 2

2015-09-23 Thread Christian Naumer

What about the other issue with the filters? I have

NGImap4ConnectionStringSeparator = ".";

and this works as expected in 2.3.2 with the same mailserver. I also can
not create a new Folder in the mail windows. maybe this is related? In
the demo site I can not create new sub folder. Is this just me?

Found out that it is only in Firefox I can not create sub folder (the
menu with the dots on each folder is not working) in Chromium I can
create folders.
This is also the case on the demo site.

 Hi,

 Since april we are seeing a problem when replying to an email using the
 SOGo web address.

 Suppose I reply to a mail with these headers:
 (note the 's around the name)

 From: external_user, Sharon exter...@otherdomain.com
 To: internal_user, Marc inter...@ourdomain.com

 The SOGo reply will look like:
 (note the LACK of around the name)
 To: external_user, Sharon exter...@otherdomain.com
 From: internal_user, Marc inter...@ourdomain.com

 And this causes the addresses to be SPLIT into:
 To: external_user@MISSING_DOMAIN, Sharon exter...@otherdomain.com
 From: internal_user@MISSING_DOMAIN, Marc inter...@ourdomain.com

 which is obviously very wrong.

 The @MISSING_DOMAIN in then replaced with @ourdomain.com (I guess by
 postfix or so) resulting in an address that doesn't exist.
 (external_u...@ourdomain.com)

 It seems to me that SOGo should KEEP the around the reply-to address..?

 This is latest sogo on debian wheezy.

 Since we are seeing it since april, I'm guessing either we did a config
 change causing this, or a 'recent' sogo update caused this new behaviour.

 Anyone an idea?

 Regards,
 MJ

Hallo,
your config file is the default one without any configuration. These are just
examples. You need to adjust the parameters to your setup. Like you probably

389-ds is working for us. The bug report mentioned relates to password
policies. I think your problem is that sogo does not find your
configuration. Like it says in your log file:
'No authentication sources defined - nobody will be able to login.
Check your defaults.'

You need to check what is wrong there. Can you post your sogo.conf ?

Postfix is successfully authanticate with cyrus-sasl on 389-ds
Dovecot is successfully authenticate on 389-ds.
My authenticate tests are successfully through:

I have issues only with sogo authentication throuth 389-ds on separate

I reconfigured my ldap setting more times, but the same error, I don’t

Re: [SOGo] sogo with 389-ds authentication

2014-12-12 Thread Christian Naumer
389-ds is working for us. The bug report mentioned relates to password
policies. I think your problem is that sogo does not find your configuration.
Like it says in your log file:
'No authentication sources defined - nobody will be able to login. Check your
defaults.'

You need to check what is wrong there. Can you post your sogo.conf ?

Re: [SOGo] copying contacts to shared address book

2013-07-11 Thread Christian Naumer
I think you problem is that you are trying to copy into an LDAP-address
book which you can not edit by default. See the documentation:

modifiers:
a list (array) of usernames that are authorized to perform
modifications to the address book defined by this LDAP
source.

I think the superusers can do this by default.

Hope this helps.

Re: [SOGo] emClient?

I tried emClient once and also liked it. But you have to be careful to not mix
with other programs and the webinterface. EmClient has a lot more fields for
contacts than TB and sogo stores those but if you open those contacts with
other clients and save them you loose those fields.

 configure my SOGo user account with calendars, contacts, tasks, etc. I

 They even have some built in features already to handle Access Control for
 all folders and on folders that I've shared via the SOGo web interface I can
 see the ACL settings for those users, etc. But I can't seem to add users

 there was a way to get that part to work I'd say eM would make a really
 fantastic Windows client option.

I tried the new extensions. One Problem I found ist that I can't modify

the event stays as it was before. I also can not delete them. Nothing on

it is definitely related to the webinterface of SOGo.
At the moment I have no time to investigate further, sorry.

We see the same for some jpg-Files. The Files sent from the web
interface are shown only partial in the Web interface of sogo. It works
in TB. However, if I forward the mail in the web interface the jpgs are
corrupted in the Sent-folder.

And the recipient gets corrupted jpgs.

Do you know since when this has started to happen?

I got a report from a user yesterday. Have been running 2.0.2 since it

After a downgrade to 1.3.12c everything works again. Except the the
problem with recurring events. This has something todo with exceptions
and are also there in 1.3.12c. But the errors about incorrect quotes are
gone.
Is there anything I can do to narrow the problem down?

Re: [SOGo] SOGo keeps falling over when previously fine

2012-01-27 Thread Christian Naumer
We have the same problem. I was putting it down to the switch to 64bit
architecture. I increased SxVMemLimit to 1024 to no avail. The problem
occurred less with 1024 but was not gone.
We have an application that fetches a ical (large file 2000 entries)
file from sogo an this caused this issue every time. After I stopped
fetching this ical we don't have any more crashes with SxVMemLimit=1024
with less this still happens.
Also when I try to export this calendar in the web interface the same
thing happens.
I posted this some time ago:
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.groupware.sogo.user/7774

Anybody else?

You are are absolutely right. I just needed a workaround because our
sogo got completely unusable. With our installation everything worked
smooth with 1.3.8. After this version we had this problem.

 We AFAIK don't have anyone loading ical files. I'm still not totally
 sure what is causing the excessive ram usage. Recently I did see one
 worker getting killed, (first example in earlier email), when we had to
 clear a Lightening cache and mem / cpu increased when Lightning was
 loading all the events from the server anew : about a 1800kB cache file
 (in Lightning). But this isnt that much really is it ? We only have 30
 users, 5 calendars per user ..
We have around 100 users and one public Calendar were everyone puts some
events the lightning-cache is about 3000kb on this one.

 Yes I think I remember that one, but didnt have any useful suggestions

I think we have the same problem here which is memory consumption. just
different things that trigger it.

hope somebody else has an idea.

[SOGo] Two letter usernames

2012-01-09 Thread Christian Naumer
Hallo everyone,
I have run into a little problem. We are using two letter user names
and emails in our company (mine is cn). So now we have a new user
so. When this user tries to log into the web interface he gets a two
many redirects error. I think this is because sogo has this url:

https://servername/SOGo/so/username/Mail/view

And there is already a so in there even if the username is not so.
In the sogo log I just see this:
localhost - - [09/Jan/2012:18:26:16 GMT] GET /SOGo/so/so HTTP/1.1 302
0/0 0.003 - - 0

No real error. Can I somehow change the apache redirect so this works?

Thanks

[SOGo] Problem with SOGO 1.3.9 and 1.3.10

2011-12-06 Thread Christian Naumer
Since the Upgrade from 1.3.8a to 1.3.9 and 1.3.10 we have a problem with
sogo. We are running on Centos6 x64 (before it was centos5 32bit). We
have a calendar we display using phphicalendar. For this I wrote a
cronjob which gets the ics file via wget from sogo.

wget --http-user=XXX --no-check-certificate --http-password=XXX -O
XXX.ics
https://sogo.brain-biotech.de/SOGo/dav/sogo/Calendar/725B-4C31DB00-235-3C8963C0.ics

Since the update to 1.3.9 and 1.3.10 I get the following errors when the
command is run (in 90% of the cases).

localhost - - [06/Dec/2011:17:22:53 GMT] GET
/SOGo/dav/sogo/Calendar/725B-4C31DB00-235-3C8963C0.ics HTTP/1.1 200

And shortly afterwards this:

This happens until all the workers are used up and the sogo doesn't
respond anymore.

What I wonder is why is this such a large value?
localhost - - [06/Dec/2011:17:22:53 GMT] GET

^^^

The calendar is large but in sogo you can't define a time frame so this
2 years of calendar entries. And the problem wasn't there before.

Anyone have an idea?

[SOGo] Accessing SOGo with other applications

As the subject says. Does anyone have experience accessing SOGo from
other applications? Like PHP scripts. Do you use CalDAV/CardDAV or
access the DB directly? Or are there already interfaces which could be used?

Thanks

Any ideas? Something to do with load on apache and or postgres?

Thanks in advance.

 How may sogod workers do you use?

Was using 5 at the time. Now I am using 10. And I also pushed up shared
memory in postgres. So far everything works fine. The load this morning
was mainly due to about 6 people syncing 2500 contacts at the same time.
Don't know if that was to much.
Are there any recommended defaults for postgres shared memory,
connections and work_mem?

Thanks

Christian

Some more data on this. I had these entries in the log ever 5-10 min.

Oct 31 12:40:08 sogod [26706]: |SOGo| terminating app, vMem size limit
(384 MB) has been reached (currently 623 MB)

They are normal as far as I understand. But every 5-10 min? I raised the
the limit to 512 MB and since then none of those entries.
Could it be the switch from 32bit to 64bit OS? I had a similar problem
once with OpenGroupware were I hate to raise this limit switching to 64bit.
