Hi Ludovic

that sounds very good :)

One more question - do you plan any changes in the user provisioning procedure
(for samba) to make it easier in RCs?

[SOGo] SOGo 2 roadmap

2012-03-22 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Dear Developers

I have few questions about your plans towards SOGo development

Are there any estimates on:
1. releasing SOGo 2 beta 6 ?
2. releasing the stable version of SOGo 2 ?
3. fixing this bug:
http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=31 (SMTP TLS/SSL) ?
4. enabling "Outlook anywhere" functionality ?

I'd appreciate such infos very much as we've finished the first tests with
positive result. We'd like to implement SOGo but we need to know if and
eventually when such limitations are planned to be removed.

thanks!

Bartek

RE: [SOGo] Probmelm whil installing SOGo2beta5 from sources

2012-03-12 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Basically I installed the packages recommended in the manual on the OS version
(Oneiric) recommended in the manual. Thus I have GNUstep v1.22 and gnustep-make
v2.6
I tried but I couldn't (maybe that I don't know the right way) downgrade the
gnustep-make to v2.4.

But I assume that if there was no notice to use older version of gnustep-make
in the manual, the v2.6 should be also fine..

BK

RE: [SOGo] Probmelm whil installing SOGo2beta5 from sources

2012-03-09 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Hi

I tried with this and then it still missed some files so I added another paths
accordingly. I also hashed out this Werror line (don't know if it was the right
place to do it). Finally I added/modified the following lines
ADDITIONAL_INCLUDE_DIRS += \
-I/usr/local/samba/include \
-I/root/SOGo/SoObjects \
-I/root/SOGo/OpenChange/unrtf-0.21.2/src \
# -Werror -Wall \

to

/root/SOGo/OpenChange/GNUmakefile

in the end I have some new error massages:

root@ubuntu:~/SOGo/OpenChange# make
This is gnustep-make 2.6.0. Type 'make print-gnustep-make-help' for help.

so.. I'm confused again. I have a feeling that sth must have been done wrong
somewhere else because I doubt that so many changes in source files should be
made before compilation for SOGo2beta5.
What's your opinion?

/usr/local/samba/include
path
/usr/local/samba4
doesn't exist in my OS

My

firstly I took a look at
/usr/include/mapistore/mapistore.h
which was quite old.

my mapistore.h in this location and it was from 8.2011 while the newest I found

RE: [SOGo] Probmelm whil installing SOGo2beta5 from sources

2012-03-07 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Hello

as I failed to install SOGo2 from RPMs (I wrote about it in separate post) I
tried with the sources on Ubuntu Oneiric (as suggested
in the manual).

All went quite fine (some warnings but no errors) compilation of SOGo (page 8
in the manual). After typing "make" it stopped on the
following error:

Making all in Appointments ...

Making all for wobundle Appointments...

Compiling file MSExchangeFreeBusy.m ...

MSExchangeFreeBusy.m:37:22: fatal error: curl/curl.h: No such file or directory

compilation terminated.

make[2]: *** [Appointments.all.wobundle.variables] Error 2

make[1]: *** [internal-all] Error 2

make: *** [internal-all] Error 2

I couldn't find anything in groups archive nor in Internet about this "curl.h".

Has anyone any ideas?

I also tried to install from sources on Centos6.2 but (beside that I had to
search for the RHEL devel rmp substitutes for Ubuntus')
I also failed a little bit earlier, while compiling SOPE. Error message:

[root@sogo SOPE]# make

This is gnustep-make 2.6.1. Type 'make print-gnustep-make-help' for help.

I'd appreciate any help because (as I don't have 64bit machine and can't run

SOGo2beta.

I got the packages via yum repo (see here:
http://www.sogo.nu/english/support/faq/article/how-to-install-a-nightly-version-through-yum-1.html

But something is wrong at this moment because today's morning I could browse
this repo and there were many more packages available.
Now, via yum I see only one package there.

Maybe developers are changing something right now?

I guess that this manual was based on installation on Ubuntu.

Am I doing something wrong or for RHEL6 installation of openchange and samba
look different?

If yes - is there any reference how to do this?

RE: [SOGo] Fresh SOGo install problems with run the login screen

2012-02-27 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
I did these steps at the very beginning. I also tried with various combinations
(hostname, full domain name, IP address) and all the time I get the same error:

[Mon Feb 27 17:09:10 2012] [error] (13)Permission denied: proxy: HTTP: attempt
to connect to 127.0.0.1:2 (127.0.0.1) failed
[Mon Feb 27 17:09:10 2012] [error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker
for (127.0.0.1)

When I type also the port number to the browser (http://sogo:2/SOGo) I'm
able to open the sogo page and even to log in but then the page is corrupted
(like no stylesheet were applied) and I basically can't use the system.

It does really look like the problem with the proxy but I have no clue what is
wrong. I'll try to install all again, this time on Ubuntu and see if problem
still occurs.

BK

[SOGo] Fresh SOGo install problems with run the login screen

2012-02-24 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Hi

I installed SOGo on CentOS 6.2 according to the manual (even using al values
from the manual)
[root@sogo ~]# yum list installed | grep sogo
sogo.i686 1.3.12c-1.centos6 @SOGo

After trying to run: http://sogo/SOGo I get the following errors

[root@sogo ~]# cat /var/log/sogo/sogo.log
2012-02-24 13:15:49.557 sogod[7342] could not open channel to sogo@localhost

[Fri Feb 24 19:15:22 2012] [error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker
for (127.0.0.1)

and the browser message: "Service Temporarily Unavailable"

When I run: http://sogo:2/SOGo/
I'm able to see the normal SOGo login screen

I tried also to run SOGo on MySQL according to this manual:
http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/10894?page=0,0

and I got the following errors in Apache (no other errors in sogo.log):

[root@sogo ~]# cat /var/log/httpd/error_log
[Fri Feb 24 19:07:07 2012] [error] (13)Permission denied: proxy: HTTP: attempt
to connect to 127.0.0.1:2 (127.0.0.1) failed
[Fri Feb 24 19:07:07 2012] [error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker
for (127.0.0.1)

With MySQL the browser "behaves" the same. It means that with:
http://sogo:2/SOGo/ it opens the login page
http://sogo/SOGo I get message "Service Temporarily Unavailable"

I would be very grateful for some hints what I do wrong.
Attached is my SOGo.conf file

RE: [SOGo] Problem with libobjc.so.1

2012-02-24 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
I've just found my mistake.

I copied the inverse repo 1:1 from the manual but there was the RHEL5 stated:

[SOGo]

name=Inverse SOGo Repository

baseurl=http://inverse.ca/downloads/SOGo/RHEL5/$basearch

gpgcheck=0

After changing to RHEL6 everything was installed perfectly :-)

Maybe it would be good to point that out in the manual so other RHEL6 users
wouldn't get into the same problem.

I also noticed that the link on the same page is not working, maybe it also
need to be adjusted.

Thanks!

[SOGo] Problem with libobjc.so.1

2012-02-23 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Hi

I tried to install Sogo according to this manual

http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Installation%20Guide.pdf

on the fresh installation of CentOS 6.2

after running yum install sogo , I got the following error:

--> Finished Dependency Resolution

Error: Package: gnustep-base-1.23.0-1.i386 (SOGo)

   Requires: libobjc.so.1

Only package related to this which I found was libobjc-4.4.6-3.el6.i686.

I installed it but the same error still occurs.

Has anyone any idea?

RE: [SOGo] CPU arch for ZEG

2012-02-22 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
The problem was that my Xeon processor doesn't support VT technology so I can't
run 64bit VM on it eventhough the CPU itself is 64bit.

Thanks everyone for support.

Maybe some small suggestion to developers - wouldn't it be possible to prepare
ZEG appliances on 32bit OSes? This would allow to run it on every machine.

[SOGo] CPU arch for ZEG

2012-02-20 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Hi All

I'm struggling with quite a (hopefully) simple problem. Maybe the answer is
obvious and I'm just stuck somewhere.

I try to run ZEGbeta4 appliance in Virtual box. I import ova file with the
wizard (as stated in instructions) and when trying to run
it I get and the following error:

"This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU."

I got the same message on IBM x-series xeon 64bit server and on ThinkPad Core
i7 (also 64bit).

Is this working only on AMD? I'm confused..

Bartek

Even if SOGo would have "own" SyncML functionality, users could still take
advantage of Funambol clients for Outlook or for mobile devices. It'll be
compatible because it's the same standard.

RE: [SOGo] Why not move from Funambol to Z-Push? Many features will be obtained.

2012-01-19 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Hello

maybe the question isn't very intelligent but why not implementing the SyncML
functionality directly into SOGo (without Funambol or even Z-Push).
Is Funambol server giving anything more than the SyncML functionality to SOGo?

I don't know how big effort such implementation would be, but I've seen that
such solution is done in Horde-kronolith so I'm assuming that it's generally
possible.

[SOGo] Data sources configuration for Funambol server

2012-01-19 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Hello Everyone

I'tried to configure the Funambol server (following the PDF manual) and I got
stacked at the moment when you need to enter

/opt/Funambol/admin/bin/funamboladmin

and set the data sources.

after a run this, command finished without any output. Is this a graphical or
text tool? (I'm running it via ssh console). Is it
possible to configure Funambol server via text console?

thanks

RE: [SOGo] SOGo Outlook connector

2012-01-18 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
I think I'm getting it. SOGo or "Exchange" server must be able to communicate
with the client (eg Outlook) in order to "push" to it new emails, events etc.
In Internet, users rarely have public IP assigned to their computers and in
case of NAT the SOGo server is not able to push anything to the client because
it doesn't have the direct IP communication.
Outlook anywhere solves it by creating some kind of VPN between Outlook and the
server.
Am I more or less right with this?

If yes, I assume that in this rare case when my notebook would have assigned a
public Internet IP, I would be able to connect my Outlook to the
Internet-exposed SOGo server and synchronize it (as with Exchange) but it would
by simply very unsecure, right?

BK

RE: [SOGo] SOGo Outlook connector

2012-01-18 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Hi

one more time many thanks for such a load of information about Outlook
compatibility in SOGo2 beta.

Regarding to this stated below (RPC for HTTPS, Outlook anywhere). I don't know
if I got it right, so please confirm it once more.

Lack of "Outlook anywhere" functionality in the current beta of SOGo2 prevents
it from being able to use it outside LAN?
What LAN means in this case, one, the same broadcast domain?
So I wouldn't be able to use it in example in routed corporate network?
Let's say I take the current SOGo2 and open it to Internet and assign to it a
public domain. Will hosts with outlook clients located in the Internet be able
to connect to this server as to Exchange server (like for example to IMAP)?

Bartek

I meant about the native Outlook compatibility released in the SOGo2 beta

Maybe I've expressed that wrong.

Anyway - thanks to all for your comments!

I'd appreciate very much if SOGo team would share some timeline for the stable

Thanks for this - I didn't notice that in the manual before. I'll try to go
through it. Sp far in ZEG I get the following error:
sogo@sogo:~/openchange/sogo/samba4$ sudo ./bin/samba-tool domain
passwordsettings set --complexity=off
[sudo] password for sogo:

I'm also very interested in this. Could anyone share his/her oppinions?

Hi Francis

I tried it and it made no difference unfortunately.

Bind credentials seems to be fine and hostname resolving also because I don't
get error which you mentioned, moreover, when I click
"test" button (in Webmin) next to my new data source a window pops up with the
message "success"

OK, so I disabled this feature. Nonetheless still cannot login with AD
credentials and get the same error:
Jan 13 15:21:17 sogod [26193]: SOGoRootPage Login for user 'sugar' might not
have worked - password policy: 65535 grace: -1
expire: -1 bound: 0

Is this possible that it's somehow related to the domain "example.com" which is
fixed in the ZEG appliance? My outlook connects
perfectly with SOGo using users sogo1, sogo2, sogo3. When I created a new user
in local LDAP, I can login to web interface but
Outlook cannot connect to "Exchange" with this new username.
Maybe ZEG appliance is not possible to accept any other users than sogo1-3 ?

This user is me. I login to AD every day. Password and account is valid.
I tried also with other test users and result was the same.

[SOGo] Active Directory LDAP user source

2012-01-13 Thread Bartłomiej Kluska
Hi All

I'm trying to add an external user source (MS Active Directory) to the ZEG 2
appliance configuration. I can't login using any domain
account at all. Error code I see on the web interface is:

Login failed due to unhandled error case: -1

Error in the logs:

Jan 13 09:59:52 sogod [17362]: <0x0x22e5d80[NGLdapConnection]> bind -
ldap_result call result: 97
Jan 13 09:59:52 sogod [17362]: <0x0x22e5d80[NGLdapConnection]> bind -
ldap_parse_result - ctrls is NULL
Jan 13 09:59:52 sogod [17362]: SOGoRootPage Login for user 'kluska' might not
have worked - password policy: -1 grace: -1 expire:
-1 bound: 0
localhost - - [13/Jan/2012:09:59:52 GMT] "POST /SOGo/connect HTTP/1.1" 403
31/41 0.053 - - 16K

My config file (/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults):

http://www.gnustep.org/plist-0_9.xml";>

NSGlobalDomain

sogod

When I test this new user-source, the result is "Success"

When I set "passwordPolicy" to "NO", on the web interface I get an error:
"Wrong username or password."
and in logs I can see the following:

Jan 13 10:09:29 sogod [18034]: SOGoRootPage Login for user 'kluska' might not
have worked - password policy: 65535 grace: -1

localhost - - [13/Jan/2012:10:09:29 GMT] "POST /SOGo/connect HTTP/1.1" 403
34/41 0.005 - - 0

I tried to search the list but could find any problem like this.
Anyone has any idea?

thanks
cheers!

Bartek
