Hi Ludovic that sounds very good :) One more question - do you plan any changes in the user provisioning procedure (for samba) to make it easier in RCs? [SOGo] SOGo 2 roadmap
Dear Developers I have few questions about your plans towards SOGo development Are there any estimates on: 1. releasing SOGo 2 beta 6 ? 2. releasing the stable version of SOGo 2 ? 3. fixing this bug: http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=31 (SMTP TLS/SSL) ? 4. enabling "Outlook anywhere" functionality ? I'd appreciate such infos very much as we've finished the first tests with positive result. We'd like to implement SOGo but we need to know if and eventually when such limitations are planned to be removed. thanks! Regards Bartek -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

RE: [SOGo] Probmelm whil installing SOGo2beta5 from sources
Basically I installed the packages recommended in the manual on the OS version (Oneiric) recommended in the manual. Thus I have GNUstep v1.22 and gnustep-make v2.6 I tried but I couldn't (maybe that I don't know the right way) downgrade the gnustep-make to v2.4. But I assume that if there was no notice to use older version of gnustep-make in the manual, the v2.6 should be also fine.. Hi I tried with this and then it still missed some files so I added another paths accordingly. I also hashed out this Werror line (don't know if it was the right place to do it). Finally I added/modified the following lines ADDITIONAL_INCLUDE_DIRS += \ -I/usr/local/samba/include \ -I/root/SOGo/SoObjects \ -I/root/SOGo/OpenChange/unrtf-0.21.2/src \ # -Werror -Wall \ to /root/SOGo/OpenChange/GNUmakefile in the end I have some new error massages: root@ubuntu:~/SOGo/OpenChange# make This is gnustep-make 2.6.0. RE: [SOGo] Probmelm whil installing SOGo2beta5 from sources
Hello as I failed to install SOGo2 from RPMs (I wrote about it in separate post) I tried with the sources on Ubuntu Oneiric (as suggested in the manual). All went quite fine (some warnings but no errors) compilation of SOGo (page 8 in the manual). After typing "make" it stopped on the following error: Making all in Appointments ... Making all for wobundle Appointments... Compiling file MSExchangeFreeBusy.m ... Has anyone any ideas? I also tried to install from sources on Centos6.2 but (beside that I had to search for the RHEL devel rmp substitutes for Ubuntus') I also failed a little bit earlier, while compiling SOPE. I did these steps at the very beginning. I also tried with various combinations (hostname, full domain name, IP address) and all the time I get the same error: [Mon Feb 27 17:09:10 2012] [error] (13)Permission denied: proxy: HTTP: attempt to connect to 127.0.0.1:2 (127.0.0.1) failed [Mon Feb 27 17:09:10 2012] [error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker for (127.0.0.1) When I type also the port number to the browser (http://sogo:2/SOGo) I'm able to open the sogo page and even to log in but then the page is corrupted (like no stylesheet were applied) and I basically can't use the system. It does really look like the problem with the proxy but I have no clue what is wrong. I'll try to install all again, this time on Ubuntu and see if problem still occurs. RE: [SOGo] Problem with libobjc.so.1
I've just found my mistake. I copied the inverse repo 1:1 from the manual but there was the RHEL5 stated: [SOGo] name=Inverse SOGo Repository baseurl=http://inverse.ca/downloads/SOGo/RHEL5/$basearch gpgcheck=0 After changing to RHEL6 everything was installed perfectly :-) Maybe it would be good to point that out in the manual so other RHEL6 users wouldn't get into the same problem. RE: [SOGo] CPU arch for ZEG
The problem was that my Xeon processor doesn't support VT technology so I can't run 64bit VM on it eventhough the CPU itself is 64bit. Thanks everyone for support. Maybe some small suggestion to developers - wouldn't it be possible to prepare ZEG appliances on 32bit OSes? This would allow to run it on every machine. [SOGo] CPU arch for ZEG
Hi All I'm struggling with quite a (hopefully) simple problem. Maybe the answer is obvious and I'm just stuck somewhere. I try to run ZEGbeta4 appliance in Virtual box. I import ova file with the wizard (as stated in instructions) and when trying to run it I get and the following error: "This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU." I got the same message on IBM x-series xeon 64bit server and on ThinkPad Core i7 (also 64bit). Is this working only on AMD? I'm confused.. Even if SOGo would have "own" SyncML functionality, users could still take advantage of Funambol clients for Outlook or for mobile devices. It'll be compatible because it's the same standard. RE: [SOGo] Why not move from Funambol to Z-Push? Many features will be obtained.
Hello maybe the question isn't very intelligent but why not implementing the SyncML functionality directly into SOGo (without Funambol or even Z-Push). Is Funambol server giving anything more than the SyncML functionality to SOGo? I don't know how big effort such implementation would be, but I've seen that such solution is done in Horde-kronolith so I'm assuming that it's generally possible. [SOGo] Data sources configuration for Funambol server
Hello Everyone I'tried to configure the Funambol server (following the PDF manual) and I got stacked at the moment when you need to enter /opt/Funambol/admin/bin/funamboladmin and set the data sources. after a run this, command finished without any output. Is this a graphical or text tool? (I'm running it via ssh console). Is it possible to configure Funambol server via text console? thanks Regards Bartek -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
RE: [SOGo] SOGo Outlook connector
I think I'm getting it. SOGo or "Exchange" server must be able to communicate with the client (eg Outlook) in order to "push" to it new emails, events etc. In Internet, users rarely have public IP assigned to their computers and in case of NAT the SOGo server is not able to push anything to the client because it doesn't have the direct IP communication. Outlook anywhere solves it by creating some kind of VPN between Outlook and the server. Am I more or less right with this? If yes, I assume that in this rare case when my notebook would have assigned a public Internet IP, I would be able to connect my Outlook to the Internet-exposed SOGo server and synchronize it (as with Exchange) but it would by simply very unsecure, right? RE: [SOGo] SOGo Outlook connector
Hi one more time many thanks for such a load of information about Outlook compatibility in SOGo2 beta. Regarding to this stated below (RPC for HTTPS, Outlook anywhere). I don't know if I got it right, so please confirm it once more. Lack of "Outlook anywhere" functionality in the current beta of SOGo2 prevents it from being able to use it outside LAN? What LAN means in this case, one, the same broadcast domain? So I wouldn't be able to use it in example in routed corporate network? Let's say I take the current SOGo2 and open it to Internet and assign to it a public domain. Will hosts with outlook clients located in the Internet be able to connect to this server as to Exchange server (like for example to IMAP)?
