[xwiki-users] Including a Google Map

2010-12-18 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi all,

I need to include a Google Map in a page. In XWiki 1.0 syntax I add a iframe
and that works fine (http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/view/Location/ISEP)
but with XWiki 2.0 syntax I can't make it work (
http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/view/Location/CIUP). I've added {{html
wiki="true"}} but it's the same problem.

How do I add a iFrame in a XWiki 2.0 page ? Is there an easier way to add a
Google Map (like a {{google map}} macro) ?

Thanks,
Antonio

2010-10-15 Thread Antonio Goncalves
I followed your advice and turned the 1.0 page into a 2.0. Automatically the
page was translated and it works fine. Great. Well, I think I'll use the 2.0
syntax then.

Thanks,

[xwiki-users] Links to pages in 1.0 syntax don't look good

2010-10-15 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi all,

Our XWiki instance has been upgraded to a 2.0. We are still using 1.0 syntax
and we can see some strange behaviour.

If you look at this page http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/view/Speaker/ all
the titles (the name of the speakers) look ok. But if you click to a
specific speaker (
http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/view/Speaker/MagninLaurent), you can see
that the title is [Laurent Magnin>Speaker.MagninLaurent] instead of just
Laurent Magnin. This doesn't happen to all the pages (ex.
http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/view/Speaker/MartignoleNicolas).

All these pages are in XWiki syntaxe 1.0 and all have the same syntax :

1 [Laurent Magnin>Speaker.MagninLaurent]

Do you know what that could be ?

Thanks,
Antonio

Thanks for the tips Vincent, very much appreciated. It's working now, good.
We'll add the $context.setCacheDuration() for the cache.
Is there a default value BTW ? What would be an appropriate value ?

[xwiki-users] Page redirecting automatically to XWikiPreferences

2009-04-06 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi all,
Something really wired is hapening. We have a page that used to list all our
speakers (http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/view/Speaker/). It contains the
following code :

#set($query="where doc.web='Speaker' and doc.name!='WebHome' order by
doc.title desc")
#set($results = $xwiki.searchDocuments($query))
#foreach ($item in $results)
#includeInContext($item)

#end

It always worked well. But now, when we click on the link, we are
automatically redirected to the XWikiPreferences pages. I've tried to show
the history of the Speaker/WebHome page, but it's impossible, it redirects
to the XWikiPreferences page.

I'm not sure there is anything wrong with the code of the page, maybe rights
issue or something like that. Do you have any idea ?

Thanks,
Antonio

Hi,
I'm coming back on this issue. My XWiki instance is hosted, and it looks
that the only way to install a plugin is to drop the jars in the WEB-INF\lib
directory. Does this mean that I'm stuck ? I can't install the new blog

there another way to move panels around without the wizard (previous

Our wiki instance is hosted, so what can I do to upgrade the platform to a

Re: [xwiki-users] Panel Wizard doesn't show it

2009-03-13 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,
I'm not sure of what happen (our XWiki is hosted and I don't know all the
admin tasks that are made), but the Panel wizard application doesn't work
anymore. It looks like the XWiki version has changed (1.4.1.14796), it could
be a reason. When I go to the panel wizard, I get the following at the top
and cannot move any panels around. It's like the page doesn't include the
needed javascript

Any idea ?
Thanks,
Antonio

Glissez et déposez les panels pour les réarranger a l'intérieur des colonnes
latérales. Pour ajouter ou retirer des panels, glissez les de la liste des
panels disponibles vers une colonne ou à l'inverse, d'une colonne vers la
liste.
$xwiki.jsfx.use("js/scriptaculous/scriptaculous.js")
$xwiki.jsfx.use("js/xwiki/accordion/accordion.js")
$xwiki.jsfx.use("js/xwiki/panelwizard/Drag.js")
$xwiki.jsfx.use("js/xwiki/panelwizard/ieemu.js")
$xwiki.jsfx.use("js/xwiki/panelwizard/toolTip.js")

[xwiki-users] Problem with the new blog application running on XWiki 1.1.1

2009-02-24 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi all,
I've installed the new blog application (
http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Applications/BlogApplication) on XWiki
1.1.1. My old blog entries have been migrated and I can created new entries.
But when I go to the Blog/WebHome page (
http://www.antoniogoncalves.org/xwiki/bin/view/Blog/WebHome) I get the
following text showing instead of the list of entries :

#preparePagedViewParams($totalEntries 10)
  $xwiki.jsx.use($blogScriptsDocumentName) 1.1 Create a new post

Do you know if I need to do something special to make this page work and get
the 10 last entries of my blog ?

Thank you,

Antonio

2009-02-08 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Yes Vincent, you can check by yourself on the Paris JUG website. I can't see
any logs, I've tried with 3 different browsers but I've found a strange
work around.
When I am on the
http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/admin/XWiki/XWikiPreferences page and that
I click on Panel Wizard, nothing happens. But I can access the wizard from
the page http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/.

Do you have any idea ?

[xwiki-users] Panel Wizard doesn't show it

2009-02-07 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

I'm using XE 1.6.2 / XEM 1.4.1 and when I click on the Panel Wizard it just
doesn't show up. I click on the link, but nothing happens.

Is there a way to skip the wizard and set up the panels layout manually like
the previous versions of XWiki ?

Thanks,

Re: [xwiki-users] List Last10 XWiki Comments Snippet doesn't work

2008-10-31 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Well, I'm hosted by XWiki ;o) I'm gonna ask them.
In fact, I'm doing all that, because I think my site has been spammed. I let
guests comment my pages (no need to log in), and since this morning there's
a page that displays completly blanck (
http://www.antoniogoncalves.org/xwiki/bin/view/Article/TestingJPA). And I
think it could be someone who spammed my comments.

Thanks,
Antonio

[xwiki-users] List Last10 XWiki Comments Snippet doesn't work

2008-10-31 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,
I want to display the comments of my wiki, so I've copy/paste the "List
Last10 XWiki Comments Snippet" (
http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Snippets/ListLast10XWikiCommentsSnippet).
But this doesn't work. I'm hosted on a XWiki 1.1.1 (but I think that's XEM).

Any idea why it doesn't work ?

Thanks,
Antonio

Re: [xwiki-users] MyTodos not showing my todos

2008-10-17 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Both are java.lang.Long. But the pb doesn't come from the if statement. I
use a sortable table. And depending on the way I sort it (by clicking on the
header), I have completly random behavior (sometimes I have 3 red lines,
sometimes 6... weird)

N°
Titre
Description
Assignee
Date
Status

#set ($i=0)
#set ($today = $xwiki.currentDate.time)

#foreach ($todo in $todos)
#set ($todoDoc = $xwiki.getDocument($todo))
#set ($todoObj = $todoDoc.getObject("XWiki.TodoClass"))
#set ($i = $i + 1)
#if ($todoObj.getProperty("TargetDate").value.time < $today)

#else

#end
$i
[$todo]
$todoObj.Description
$todoObj.Assignee
$todoObj.TargetDate
$todoObj.Status

#end

Thanks,
Antonio

Hum, just a thought. Is it String comparaison or Long ? Do I have to cast it
into Long ?

Re: [xwiki-users] MyTodos not showing my todos

2008-10-16 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Thanks, it's working. I just have a funny behavior now when I compare these
dates with the current date (converted to milliseconds) :
#if ($todoObj.getProperty("TargetDate").value.time
< $xwiki.currentDate.time)

Sometimes the if statement is correct and sometimes is not. When I print the
values I see targetDate inferior to currentDate but the if statement is not
executed. Strange.

Re: [xwiki-users] MyTodos not showing my todos

2008-10-16 Thread Antonio Goncalves
It's me again. I'm still confused by the property classes.
The dueDate is of type DateProperty. How can have the milliseconds value of
that date ? I've tried to format the date, but it doesn't work. If I display
 $todoObj.TargetDate, it's fine, but I can manipulate it as a date (
using formatDate for exemple)

#foreach ($todo in $todos)
#set ($todoDoc = $xwiki.getDocument($todo))
#set ($todoObj = $todoDoc.getObject("XWiki.TodoClass"))

$todoObj.TargetDate
  // This works
$xwiki.formatDate($todoObj.TargetDate, "yymmdd") // This does'n
work
#end

Do you know what to do to use formatDate on a DateProperty ?

Thanks,
Antonio

2008-10-15 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Thanks Fabian, it works, that's great.
I would have a second question though. The TODOs are ordered by doc.date
(which is the creation of the document). What I really want is to order by
the Target Date (it's the property of the TodoClass). This property is a
date, so do you know how I can order by this property ?

Thanks in advance

Re: [xwiki-users] MyTodos not showing my todos

2008-10-13 Thread Antonio Goncalves
I've tried everything but I can't make it work. I'm now using the HQL Query
Tester (http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Snippets/HQLQueryTesterSnippet)
to test my HQL queries, but it looks like this snippet of code of the HQL
Query Tester doesn't work either :o(
Any idea to try HQL queries ? I really need to display the TODOs of the
current user and it looks like it's just a query to change but I can't
figure it out.

Any idea ?

[xwiki-users] MyTodos not showing my todos

2008-10-08 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi everybody,
I've installed the Todo application (
http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Applications/TodoApplicationDownloads).
I can add new todos, affect them to users and so on. But when I check the
MyTodos Panel (http://localhost:8080/xwiki/bin/view/Panels/MyTodos) it's
always empty. The problem is the HQL statement. It's like that :

#set ($hql = ", BaseObject as obj, StringProperty as prop1, StringProperty
as prop2 where obj.name=doc.fullName and obj.className='XWiki.TodoClass' and
obj.name<>'XWiki.TodoClassTemplate' and obj.id=prop1.id.id and
prop1.id.name='Status'
and prop1.value <> 'Finished' and obj.id=prop2.id.id and
prop2.id.name='Assignee'
and prop2.value='$context.user' order by doc.date desc")

And if I get rid of the last assignee close (and obj.id=prop2.id.id and
prop2.id.name='Assignee' and prop2.value='$context.user' ), it works but
shows all the todos of everybody.

Do you know how to fix this HQL query so it shows the todos of the current
user ?

Thanks,
Antonio

Ok. I really thought both things were related. I though doc was just an
instance of the Document class.

One thing that really would help is to be able to search for code. If you go
to code.xwiki.org and search for the string "getDocument" no result is
found.

Re: [xwiki-users] Displaying the pages of a space

2008-05-15 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Thanks Jean-Vincent it works. Two more questions.

1) On the API (
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/download/DevGuide/API/xwiki%2Dcore%2D1.3.2%2Djavadoc.zip/index.html)
it says that the method getWeb is deprecated and that we should use
getSpace. But when I do the following it doesn't work (doc.space instead of
doc.web) :

#set($query="where doc.*space*='Main'")
#set($results = $xwiki.searchDocuments($query, 5, 0))
#foreach ($item in $results)
* $item
#end

Looking at the API this should work no ?

2) the code ** $item * just gives me the title of the page, and what
if I want to include the entire content of each page. How can I do that ?

Thanks,
Antonio

[xwiki-users] Displaying the pages of a space

2008-05-15 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

I want to display all the pages of a specific space. For that I found the
following code :

#set($docs = $xwiki.getSpaceDocsName('MySpace'))
#foreach ($doc in $docs)
[${doc}]
#end

It works fine but I need more than that (ordering, exclusion...). So I'm
trying to find the same fonctionnality but with a query. I couldn't find
anything at
http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Design/XWiki+Query+Language+Specification
so I've tried several queries but in vain. I would like to do something like
that :

#set($query="where spaces='MySpace'")
#set($results = $xwiki.searchDocuments($query, 5, 0))
#foreach ($item in $results)
 * $item
#end

Any idea ?

Thanks,
Antonio

[xwiki-users] Displaying just the titles of the blog

2008-05-12 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

I use the Blog features of XWiki as well as the blog macro to display the
entries. On a panel I just want to display the title of the the first five
entries (without the content, comments, permalink...). I've been playing
aroung with the Blog.Macros but it doesn't work. Is there an easy way to do
that ?

Thanks,

That's weird, when I do that I get the following url :

[xwiki-users] Modify a Skin with attached images

2008-02-27 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

I'm following the "Modifying a skin" chapter from the Admin Guide to create
a new skin (http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Skins). I've
created a new page, attached an image to it ("myfile.jpg"), added the
XWiki.XWikiSkins class to it and overrode some .vm files. I just don't know
how to refer to the attached image ? I've tried several things :

#set($logo = $!attachmentpage.getAttachment("myfile.jpg"))
#set($logo = $!doc.getAttachment("myfile.jpg"))
#set($logo = $!prefdoc.getAttachment("myfile.jpg"))

Even some
#set($logourl = $prefdoc.getAttachmentURL($logo.filename,"download"))

But when I use the tag I have an empty src attribute

Do you know what I am doing wrong ?

Thanks,
Antonio

Hi Sergiu,

I have exactly the same problem with Tomcat 5.5.26 (I'm using XWiki 1.2.2).
Should I wait for a bug fix from XWiki or should I use a previous version of
Tomcat (if yes, which one) ?

Thanks,

Ok, I've found the problem. Nothing to do with XWiki or MySQL, the heap of
Tomcat was too low. I've increased the -Xmx and it works fine.

Re: [xwiki-users] Import of XAR: Java Heap Space Out Of Memory Exception in 1.2

2008-01-21 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi all,

I'm trying to upgrade XWiki from 1.0 to 1.2. The problem comes when I want
to import my .xar file (6Mb) and get a Java Heap Space Out Of Memory
Exception.

I've checked your admin page
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/FAQ/Howtoincreasethemaximumattachmentsize
and
it looks like for my problem (file < 10Mb), only MySQL should be changed. So
I've changed the max_allowed_packet parameter but the problem still occurs.
I don't have anything in Tomcat or MySQL logs, which is a bit strange. The
only trace I get is the one bellow. It looks like Lucene breaks because of
the file upload not working. Any idea ? How could I get more details in the
log ?

Thanks,

Antonio

[xwiki-users] XEM RoadMap

2008-01-03 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

I would like to know if there is a date for XEM 1.0 release. On JIRA (
http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XEM) it shows the 1.0-RC2 for 10/01/2007.
Any idea about the final release ?

Another question. Is XEM 1.0 based on XE 1.2 ? Because XE 1.2 is planned for
05/01/2007 so I was wondering if XEM would be released at the same time of
XE.

Thanks,

Antonio

Re: [xwiki-users] XEM.war, XEM.war and Plugin Wiki Manager... getting confused

2007-12-29 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Humm, that might be a bug because meanwhile I was having a look at MySQL
documentation, I clicked a second time of my virtual wiki link, and it
works. So now, each time I create a new virtual wiki, I go to its home page
a first time and get the encoding exception, I click a second time and it
works. I'm using :

XEM 1.0_M2
JDK 1.5.0_14
MySQL Server 5.0.45
Driver JDBC Connector/J 5.1.5
Tomcat 5.5.25

Re: [xwiki-users] XEM.war, XEM.war and Plugin Wiki Manager... getting confused

2007-12-28 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Humm, doesn't work for me. Benoit, when you create a virtual wiki (let's say
sales), do you create a new sales database ? I wonder if all the virtual
wikis store their data into the xwiki database (sales stores its data into
xwiki DB) or if each one has its own database (sales stores its data into
sales DB) ?

When you grant the sales user (grant all privileges on sales.* to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] identified by 'sales') you are assuming that the database
name is sales and the password is sales too. How does XWiki handles that ?

But I really thought that XWiki Manager would handles all that
automatically. Am I wrong ?

Antonio

Re: [xwiki-users] XEM.war, XEM.war and Plugin Wiki Manager... getting confused

2007-12-27 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Thank you Vincent, I've tried both solutions and it works fine.

I'm just confused now about how to create new wikis. When I use XEM (
http://localhost:8080/xwiki/bin/view/WikiManager/) and I click on "create a
new wiki", no problem. For example, if I create a wiki called "*sales*", I
have a new link showing *sales.localdomain.com*. To cheat, I change my hosts
file (on Windows Vista) and map the *sales.localdomain.com* to 127.0.0.1.
But after, when I click on *sales.localdomain.c*om I get an exception
that my user xwiki cannot access the database *sales* :

javax.servlet.ServletException: Error number 3202 in 3: Exception
while reading document XWiki.XWikiPreferences
Wrapped Exception: Error number 3301 in 3: Exception while switching
to database sales
Wrapped Exception: Access denied for user 'xwiki'@'localhost' to
database '*sales*'

org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.processException(RequestProcessor.java:535)

org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.processActionPerform(RequestProcessor.java:433)

org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.process(RequestProcessor.java:236)
org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.process(ActionServlet.java:1196)
org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.doGet(ActionServlet.java:414)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:690)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:803)

com.xpn.xwiki.web.SetCharacterEncodingFilter.doFilter(SetCharacterEncodingFilter.java:117)

So what I did after is create a new database *sales* and give the user xwiki
all the priviledges :

mysql --user=root --execute="create database *sales*"
mysql --user=root --execute="grant all privileges on xwiki.* to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] identified by '*sales*'"

But that doesn't work either. When I go to *sales.localdomain.com*here
comes a new exception :

javax.servlet.ServletException: Error number 3 in 0: Could not
initialize main XWiki context
Wrapped Exception: Error number 3202 in 3: Exception while reading
document XWiki.XWikiPreferences
Wrapped Exception: Could not create a DBCP pool

org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.processException(RequestProcessor.java:535)

org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.processActionPerform(RequestProcessor.java:433)

org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.process(RequestProcessor.java:236)
org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.process(ActionServlet.java:1196)
org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.doGet(ActionServlet.java:414)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:690)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:803)

com.xpn.xwiki.web.SetCharacterEncodingFilter.doFilter(SetCharacterEncodingFilter.java:117)

I think I'm doing something wrong because in my understanding XWiki Manager
should do these things automatically and I think I'm doing to much hand
work. I'm using MySQL 5.0.45. Any idea ?

Thanks,

Antonio

Ooops, sorry, I was pointing to a different database where I had change the
password. So, in XEM, the Admin password is still admin.

[xwiki-users] Admin password for XEM 1.0-M2

2007-12-27 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

I've installed XEM 1.0-M2 from a fresh install (new database...)
and imported the
xwiki-enterprise-manager-wiki-administrator-1.0-M2.xarfile. In the
import list, I can see that there is an 'Admin' user, but I
cannot log on with the password 'admin' (lower case 'a'). Is the Admin
password different with XEM ? What am I doing wrong ?

[xwiki-users] XEM.war, XEM.war and Plugin Wiki Manager... getting confused

2007-12-26 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

I'm having a look at virtual wikis and I'm a bit confused with all the
installation possibilities. In my understanding, XEM is an easy way to
manage several XWiki instances on one server. Starting from a fresh install
you would download the XEM.war file into your tomcat, import the
XEM.xarfile, and it should work. But what do you do when you already
have an
instance of xwiki running and you want to add the management capabilities ?
Is it when the Wiki Manager plugin comes along ? Am I right in saying :

* fresh install : XEM.war and XEM.xar
* xwiki already installed (xwiki.war) : use the Wiki Manager plugin and
forget about XEM (war and xar)

Thnaks,

[xwiki-users] Adding flash animation

2007-12-10 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

I've made an animation with Wink, transformed it into flash (swf file) and
now I want to add it to my page. I've followed the instructions on
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/FAQ/HowDoIAddAnimatedGifSshockwaveAndFlashItemsToMyWiki
but it does not work.

What I do is that I attach my swf file (myanimation.swf) to my page and then
add :

#set($width = "500")
#set($height= "500")
#set($flashurl = $doc.getAttachmentURL("myanimation.swf", "download"))
#includeForm("xwiki:XWiki.Flash")

I'm using XWiki 1.0 and nothing appears on my page. When I look at the HTML
code produced, nothing in there. Does any body have any idea ?

Thanks,

Re: [xwiki-users] CAPTCHA for comments and registration

2007-12-03 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

I'm also trying to add captcha validation to the comments. I've looked at
Dodo skin and I'm trying to do the same for Albatross but it doesn't work.
I've set xwiki.plugin.captcha=1 in the xwiki.cfg. Dodo uses comments.vm but
it looks like the most appropriate place in Albatros is commentsinline.vm,
am I right ? Then, when I copy the following code into commentsinline.vm but
nothing happens

#if ($captchaPlugin)
  $captchaPlugin.displayCaptcha("comment","wiki_captcha")
#end

Any idea

Hi everybody,

Just to let you know that the tutorial about XWiki has been published on
developpez.com<http://agoncalves.developpez.com/tutoriels/xwiki/creer-un-site-associatif/>website.
It's in french, sorry, maybe one day we could translate it into
english.

I would like to thank Sergiu Dumitriu, François Le Droff and Pascal B for
reading the early draft and giving me their inputs.

[xwiki-users] Comments spam

2007-09-03 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Hi,

My XWiki website has been spammed with more than 200 (porn) comments on the
main page. I didn't want to put any access restriction on comments thinking
that the world was a better place and that anybody could comment :o) Well,
I was wrong and I'm gonna change the user rights.

How can I safely delete all these comments (by hand it will take me ages) ?

Thanks,

Antonio
