IIRC vpopmail should do that itself if the file is deleted,

Hello,

Hi Andrea;
I think that's a good suggestion. Have the configure script check for
the permissions of ~vpopmail/lib/libvpopmail.a
if [ ! -r ~vpopmail/lib/libvpopmail.a ]

Hello Einar,
Saturday, September 08, 2001,
*eek* If that's the case let me see if I can build a proper stanza for
the configure.in. =) That was just an example, didn't mean for you to
use it. *grin*

But if I try .qmail-pierre.rodriguez, it don't.

Worked like a charm! Thanks.
Could you explain what the softlimit command does? And why perhaps my
limit needed to be raised?

The softlimit command limits the amount of memory the program you

Seems to me your box doesn't have enough memory to load the
mysql libraries into memory.
Get more memory, or allocate more swap.

Ken,
Did you correct the problem with the new vpopmail not creating the
directories for a user if they don't exhist? We add the user to the MySQL
database and then would issue a email to the user to have it create the
directories. This no longer works.

You can always use the --disable-root-check when running
configure for Courier Imap.
I never understood why Mr. Sam doesn't like to configure and
compile as root, it has to be installed as root and started as root.

I was using that version. It isn't corrected. I added the user via a perl
script to the MySQL database.
One solutions is that you put something in the FAQ and INSTALL files for
vpopmail telling people that if they use courier-imap, they should configure
as non-root, and build as root.
The thing is, configure checks if you're root, NOT make. But make is the
only part that actually accesses
