it will be really a pain to have two separate sources.

vpopmail for this product. the manner and style for the comments does
not apply there. futuremore, the public can not what happened between
tom and ken,
courier-imap is w/o pop3, the whole courier is
smtp+(s)pop3/imap(s)/sqwebmail package.

PS anyway, you can simply not start any courier's service you don't use

in addition, one can use:
/home/vpopmail/bin# ./vuserinfo
vuserinfo: usage: [options] email_address
options: -v (print version number)

mario,
you did changed the location of vpopmail but copied the old domains/
directory, right?
if so, you must change many things,
firstly, check if the vpopmail user and vchkpw group have same id's in
/etc/passwd. if so, you can go on w/o reinstall
secondly, you must check out the qmail's assing
if it is a massive spam, better filter it out with packet filter -
iptables, ipchains pf etc, it depends from the OS you're using.
the fastest possible (the command is under linux) way to effective block

route add -host 1.1.1.1 gw 127.0.0.1

Well. The mail server is on the same machine. Let's see how does it
(sqwebmail) behave
just run another mail server. on a different machine or port. better on
a different machine - if you want to have really internal mail, you
must have internal server - meaning security.

And how the name/account under which the user gained access to send mail
