Hi -
I am a newbie to vpopmail and qmail but I have managed to get the basics working
- qmail is up and running successfully with two virtual domains authenticating
against openLDAP.
The one problem I am having is getting mail addressed to the local machine (ex.
- cron job error messages) deliver
I sent a post earlier with this question, but with some more research I am now
more capable of asking the question in a simpler way:
I am using qmail and vpopmail (with users stored in openldap). Everything is
working fine. I want to be able to get all messages sent to my root account on

problem was that I did not set --enable-qmail-ext=y in my initial compilation.
I wasn't clear myself on exactly how aliases worked with qmail/vpopmail (and yes

Hi..
This is my fist mail from the list.
I need a help for one question.
I have installed netqmail-1.05, vpopmail-5.4.7 without mysql and
chkuser-2.0.5-qmailrocks.patch.
The problem is bounced and replys mails, the vckuser block my alias-default.
Example:
# cat .qmail-hello
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hello!
Before posting this message I searched in the archives and there are two
messages asking the same thing without replies. I expect receive at
least one... :)
I'm asking again because everyone can see there are some vpgsql.* files
in the distribution but there is nothing in the site or docs
for Postgres? With that, I

Hi all,
I've been writing a big piece of company software...a user management
system which contains an email manager for every domain we host. This
email manager gives the same functionality as qmailadmin, but it works with
the rest of the system so we can, for example, bill customers, etc...
using .qmail-files,
is there really a fundamental difference between aliases and forwarders?
For example, I can have .qmail-sales with the contents "/path/to/Maildir"
or "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", which is usually considered an alias, yet it can
point to ANY address..not just a local one.
The cont
I am planning on moving the informs.com users to qmail but would like to
move a department at a time from an NT smtp to qmail. The question is using
vpopmail how would I configure it to forward any mail that does not have
a pop account to the "old" nt server?
thanks

yea, I saw that, but the problem I am running into is that one department
is on qmail/vpopmail and cant get mail to the other half of the company
that is still getting mail on the old nt server.
