[vdr] DVB_API_VERSION problem

2013-01-11 Thread Leo Márquez
Dear all,

I'm trying to build vdr-1.7.35.
I know that it requires at least a DVB driver with api version 5.3 or
higher. For this reason I downloaded and compiled the V4L-DVB dvb drivers
from linuxtv.org.
The process seems to be completed ok, I restarted to be sure the new driver
is used and I also created a Make.config file in the vdr folder in order to
specify the DVBDIR but VDR is still complaining about the DVB_API_VERSION.

At this time I'm a little bit confused and I'm not sure if I'm using the
new driver or not. Is there a way to check if I'm using a dvb api version
5.3 or higher?
If I check the DVB api version and it is ok, what can I do next?

I'm using debian squeeze with kernel 2.6.32.

Thank you very much.

[vdr] help needed using two dishes

2009-08-29 Thread Leo Márquez
Hello all,

I'm a bit lost when I wonder how can I use my two dishes (one motorized) in
my vdr server at same time.
Right now I'm using an static dish to astra but I want to add the motorized
one (currently connected to a decoder) to the installation.
I have a 1.6 vdr server with 4 tuners (2 dvb-s, 2 dvb-t) serving to three
media mvp clients.

Sorry if the following question is an offtopic, but I need to resolve it. I
understand that the physical installation only requires a diseqc between the
dishes and the vdr tuners. Is this correct?

For the software, which plugins or patches have I to use? I have seen the
rotor plugin and the gotox patch, but I don't know if they are up to date
and usable with 1.6.

Anyone can me point me on that?

Thank you very much.

[vdr] no EPG

2009-08-29 Thread Leo Márquez
Hello,

I have used VDR for a long time with no EPG problems but some day I stopped
seeing epg data.
Then I decided upgrade my old vdr 1.4.7 to 1.6-2 but EPG has not returned. I
checked the epg.data file and it is empty.
I also looked the syslog but I don't see any information related to the epg.
I can see the tv channels perfectly.

I have 2 dvb-t devices and 2 dvb-s devices but currently no dvb-s channels
in channels.conf. Could be the cause of the problem?

Thank you.

[vdr] e-tobi ubuntu hardy

2008-05-03 Thread Leo Márquez
Hi,

I'm trying to set vdr building the packages from the e-tobi source packages.
I'm doing this because I want to run vdr as streamdev client, with no dvb
card in the client system.
The e-tobi source I'm using is:

deb-src http://e-tobi.net/vdr-experimental etch base addons vdr-multipatch

The problem I have is that if I do:

sudo apt-get build-dep vdr-plugin-xineliboutput

The system says me that any version of the libxine-dev package can satisfy
the xineliboutput dependencies.
If I ignore the message and try to build the .deb packages (satisfying
manually the dependences) there is a moment that apt ask me to update the
vdr package.
At this point I am a bit confused because I understand that this is a
conflict between my e-tobi installed vdr and the ubuntu hardy vdr package.

My goal on this is get a streamdev client vdr box with xineliboutput output.

Could anyone advise me to acquire my objective?

Thank you.

Re: [vdr] Spanish DVB-T Channels in Hispasat.

2008-03-05 Thread Leo Márquez
Hello,

I think if you can found spanish terrestial channels in hispasat they may be
dvb-s and of course you can tune it with a dvb-s card.
I think this a way to watch terrestial channels at places on the dvb-t
signal is poor.
But if channels are also in hispasat, they sure are in dvb-s.

If you have more questions you can reach me by email in catalan or spanish.

Bye.

[vdr] streaming to iphone/touch

2007-11-27 Thread Leo Márquez
Hi,

I just have received a gift, a ipod touch. I have wifi and it is
possible install applications on it.
Google maps, youtube, and other multimedia applications can be installed.

Now I have seen that myhttv can stream live tv to the iphone/ipod touch.
See this:

http://smart-home-blog.com/archives/838

I know that it vdr can be built in mac computers.
Do you think that could be possible build vdr-streamdev to watch tv and
recording in my ipod?
I do not have technical knowledgements to see if it is possible but as I
have readed in the article from the link above:

'Both gadgets handle a specific version of the MPEG-4 standard, as well
as H264 video streams'

What do you think about?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for your answer.

is 0 sized!
I have taked a look to the vdrburn-dvd.sh file but I don't found where
this files is copied from /etc/vdr/plugins/burn that is on I have this
file that comes with burn source.

If I run this command in shell I get same result, segmentation fault again.

I'm using vdr 1.4.3 and also tested with vdr-1.4.6
burn plugin is

and dvdauthor is the recommended in readme:

I also have tested compiling dvdauthor 0.6.14.

Anyone has experimented the same problem? And know how to solve this?

Thanks.

dvdauthor is known to crash without a message if a input file is
missing, so have a look into your dvd.xml and check if each mpg, png,
etc. exist (with a size larger than zero). Maybe in earlier steps
something went wrong which can be verified via the log file.

I think that the process that generates the menu-bg-0.mpg file fails but

I'm lost. I have reinstalled libavformat and recompiled softdevic
plugins. What means this error?
In osd I don't get any error and vdr not crashes. I use streamdev-client
and in the server I see corrects attach and detach.

Thanks in advance.

Ah, I should have mentioned that you _must_ not toggle full screen -
windowed mode, as windowed mode works with some default values
which even did not work previously (thats why I ask for full screen mode).

I'll send you a patch tomorrow that will restrict these values.

Ok, here comes the patch. I tested it with 640x480 resolution and now I do not
get these failed request any more. In contrast to your setup, mine worked fine
when setting softdevice.OSDalphablend = 1 in vdr's setup.conf even
without the patch.

Thanks.

Re: [vdr] desperated with vdr-burn

2006-10-24 Thread Leo Márquez

Lot of thanks!
I don't tested it yet, but when I go home I'll try it.
Seems to be a definitive solution for the problem.

Thanks again.

vdr-burn still fail for me. :-(

Please forget my private mail. With a small hint from Sascha I found the
problem. The usage of $ in the format strings contained in the English
texts lead to a truncation of the string, because VDR uses $ to
separate a context string from the English translation. That's why I
didn't had this problem in German :-)

A fixed Debian package (version 0.1.0~pre21-4) is available in my
repository. Until it's fixed in the CVS, a patch can be downloaded here:

http://vdr-developer.org/mantisbt/view.php?id=184 (90_i18n-fix.dpatch.gz)

[vdr] desperated with vdr-burn

2006-10-22 Thread Leo Márquez

Hi,

Finally I'm desperated with vdr-burn. Few days ago I exposed my problem
but seems that I'm the one person that experience it.

The problem is boost related:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'boost::io::too_many_args'
what(): boost::too_many_args: format-string refered to less arguments
than were passed

Avortat

I have tried the libboost debian package and the boost-for-burn that
readme says.

Is there any boost expert that can explain my problem? I can't believe
that anyone known this problem.

I have recompiled vdr and plugins many times. I'm desperated with this
problem amb my hard disk is full.

my vdr is 1.4.3
burn is cvs (I have tried it with pre-20 and pre-21 versions)

Thanks for your help.

I need help please.

Your vdrsync.pl is too old, see the burn plugin's README.

You are right. I have readed more patiently the README file.
Now this error not happens.

A lot of thanks.

[vdr] burn(cvs) makes crash my vdr 1.4.2

2006-10-14 Thread Leo Márquez

Hi again,
I feel to be heavy with this subject but burn not work for me.
Now my vdr crashes just in the moment that burn plugin try to execute
growisofs. I think this because the last line of dvd.log is:

[burn] + growisofs -use-the-force-luke=tty -dvd-compat -Z /dev/hdd -V
'SABER Y GANAR~ ' -dvd-video
/videoteca/v0/vdr-burn.SABER_Y_GANAR__.0PIDCV/DVDAUTHOR

Burn is cvs version, vdr is 1.4.2 and I use softdevice with xv output.
I have tried to execute the growisofs command from the shell and it works.
How can I know more about the crash?
The last syslog files don't say me anything...

Did you specify enabling the grab function in your vdr startup
command? For example:

OPTIONS=-l 3 --grab=/tmp

Yes, I start with ./vdr -g /tmp

Hi, ans thanks for your answer and for your work!!
In next days I try to get few time to test your plugin. Then I explain

And another, It's possible add the mpg video file like ultrastar?

I have seen pykaraoke but I don't know how integrate with vdr.

Another software that I would try is stepmania. It's not a karaoke
software, is a dance software. Anyone known it?

Thanks.
