Ok to confirm.
The tape labels are in the SCRATCH pool - quite how
they got in there is a mystery!
All I done, was ejected tapes from volume pool,
replaced these tapes with new tapes and/or used media expired and placed them in
the Scratch ready for this weekends

(Painful story!!) but yes, this ensures its not over-written! However,

As far as I know, when you use the install CD for the Master / Media
Server there should be an option to install the console. At least it is
for Windows.

It appears I have hit a snag with FlashBackups and the HP EVA6400 that
majority of our servers have SAN disks connect to.
Firstly, does anyone use FlashBackups and EVA6400 Enterprise Array
systems?
It appears that when doing FlashBackups, they are 10 times slower than
SAN Based Backups.
In my environment, I treat it like a Life Boat - I want my boat to float
and have the Catalog available if there was a major SAN issue.
Although CatBackup is backed to tape, I do occasionly create a DR copy
if required (ie: During Maintenance of SAN)!

problematic. I am doing Snap Mirror to tape, just to backup the data, which
completes in just under 2 days.
Not ideal, but with 500 million files+ the NDMP is not quick, and we had case

We block PSEXEC due to security reasons.
I recently updated 250 clients myself – took 3 days, and in some cases was able
to push out from a remote installation. (where there was disk space).
