It just dawned on me. I was looking up these external tanks and it says they are vented. So, does that mean that instead of that bulb pressurizing the tank, that it is just a "primer" to get the boat motor going, and then the boat motor's vacuum takes over to "siphon" the gas from the tank to t

Chuck being vented means there is a little screw in the top of fill cap. You screw in down to seal tank when not being used loosen when running motor. You squeeze the bulb in line until hard start you,r motor and away you go you don't have to squeeze the bulb any more it will set up a vaccuum Chuck
