I liked the idea of being able to zap vids
enough to make it worthwhile. (Or
perhaps it *was* worthwhile; perhaps it made some folks rich. I'll
say this for Rio: they were one of the earliest to bring MP3 players
to market. They also helped build the market that inspired Apple to
come up with a more stylish/popular player.)
