Hey Paul,
FYI, if you stick a DV version in iDVD it will compress it to mpeg2
for the DVD - this is much smaller than the original. If you want to
back up your projects to a DVD and keep them in the DV format you
have to make a data disc. In this case you can only fit about 18 or

What codec are you using? What version of QT do you have? 7.0.what?
I noticed right away that h.264 gave a noticeably lower contrast
image. Though Apple seems to have fixed that issue with QT 7.0.3. I
don't have that problem with h.264 any more.

I would add, that although our stats are showing the word vlog is searched for twice as much as vodcast,Vodcast was not searched for at all 10 months ago. SO the term vodcast is certainly getting traction in the lexicon.

3ivx is compatible with the iPod if you do it like I show in this
tutorial. There are ways to break iPod compatibility.

I don't understand what's wrong here. You have Premiere Pro and
Vegas. I'm assuming you have the free quicktime installed - that's
how you made a .mov file.
Okay - .mov can have any one of a jillion codecs in it. MPEG4 is one
choice.
