Hey Gang...
I missed the meeting but it sounds like something interesting is in the
works!
If you are in need of some graphic design work, I am always up for a
challenge.
If someone will get me the details, I will get something going.
Let me know!
All the best,

Hi Dina. I notice that you do a lot of recording at conventions,
meetings and active locations. Are you looking for something to handle
interview situations or a camcorder that is good in a variety of
environments?

At the National Conference for Media Reform, Dennis Kucinich gave a press
conference.
Josh Wolf's mother was there and spoke with Kucinich.
I made a video about Josh Wolf's case and this interaction.
Thought some of you who are following this important case would be
interested.
thanks, jay. very good idea. i just was thinking in something like that!

I really, really love my Sanyo Xacti C40 - it's NTSC not HD but to be honest,
it's going to be a few years before HD is the standard and NTSC is finally
phased out. But the new HD sets can also display NTSC so I'm not worried.
And it uses SD cards which are cheap as dirt. Picked up my Xacti at

I don't think that's the problem so much. 3g2 is a newer format, and I'd
imagine the difference is influenced more by the generation of phone than by
the network. If I recall correctly I've played with a few gsm phones that

Once footage is in Final Cut, you can only get it out by re-importing

Hi Dina,
My 2 cents is to think about sound quality as not that many cameras
have a mic input. If you are wanting to use an external mic this could
be a determining factor. For shooting outdoors or in noisy places, an
external mic makes a huge difference IMO. And mic input is not to be

Hey Caleb,
It's not going to happen. This is one place where Windows Movie Maker kicks
butt. On a Mac it's best to convert these files to DV for editing. If you

things to DV and then make a Droplet (mini application) out

Hi Caleb,
In FCP you can tweak out your settings to match your input source
(640x480 15fps), but your probably still going to have to render it
out because it's .AVI and FCP has no preset for this sort of thing.
That's the route I would go, so you don't have to do the weird
converting and
I tried Final Cut Express and found it was not worth the trouble.
You would be better off just using iMovie and/or buying a camera that
shoots in settings that don't need changing. Final Cut Pro is nice
for professional movie folk. However, it is technical overkill and
