When you compress your video, use custom settings and change the Audio
settings. You can select your Audio compression format and bitrate.

Greg,It helps with the playback, trust me. If you have quicktime 6, they are already there, but in 7 they were omitted, I had lots of lovely problems when I upgraded at first, avi's wouldn't play, or they would play with sound, or all I got was a white screen and sound track, those kind things.
