Yes, I'm also curious about this. Can one copy, say, a 30-second clip
off the news or a TV show, then show it and comment on it on one's
vlog? Is that considered Fair Use?
And yes, I know, you're not lawyers ;-) and no, I don't want to start
another flame war about copyright.
Thanks,

I don't know why it seems that use is okay except when it's commercial

I'd love to get your opinions about something I've been planning that

I've got a full-length movie I made called Working Stiff

Unfortunately, I already sold the DVD rights (a miniscule deal, equal

DVDs. Plus the DVD distribution company is more than a year behind on

I want to make my feature-length indie movie available for download
for a small fee, say a dollar or two. (On the side, I'm also thinking
about vlogging about the movie, its production, offer scenes, etc.) The
problem is, I don't know if it's even feasible to offer a download for
that little money
Does anyone know how to convert VOB files to a format I can read and
then compress? I was able to copy the files off the DVD and onto my
hard drive so I don't have to decrypt them (and it's a movie I made so
I'm not violating copyright), but now I'm stuck.
I just want to take the movie off the

Quicktime Pro - $30. URL: http://www.apple.com/quicktime

So what's the solution? Use AAC and hope Google accepts it?
Jim Vinson suggested Divx, because they are teaming up with Google,
but I can't find any official word from Google yet that you can upload
Divx-formatted files. Maybe Google plans to take your video and
encode it with Divx themselves?
