I failed to mention too that Viton fuel line is used on methanol-powered racing bikes. Marine supply places sell a gray fuel line that is alcohol-resistant and even more per foot from the places I saw online. I didn't realize the government was mandating alcohol supplements in the fuel. That

I'm guessing when it comes to ethanol resistant fuel line, one is going to have to spend some coin to buy some really good stuff. As a Stihl Chainsaw mechanic, one of the issues with the fuel lines that were German-made when they used to import saws before the new facility was built in

NQ, Have you seriously checked the price of diesel lately??? My calculations show that it is 12% above the cost of unleaded. (here in arkansas) If I drive a prius and get 50 mpg on unleaded then I need to drive a diesel that gets 56 mpg to match the premium price. Not gonna happen in this

The one I listed from eBay in rated at 225 psi. Fine for both injected and carb'd models. Unfortunately, I could only find the 5.6mm line. Next size up from the seller is 7.6mm. That means injected VW's calling for 7mm hose are SOL at he moment. It costs about $3.28/foot if you buy 3 meters from

Thanks. I am getting some ethanol resistant line at least for the under car components. I may still use the braided in the engine compartment for show as it is much easier to switch those out if they degrade. Mike On Mon, Feb 20, 2012 at 8:41 PM, xannir...@aol.com wrote: H In a message

Mike, Bill May and other have suggested in the past that a mercedes dealer can sell you the correct mm sized fuel line that will handle the current gas/ethanol mix. In reality, the German OEM stuff should work fine for longer than a year as well. There is always a chance that a local auto

Mike, Lordy, I must be gettin old...can't remember the exact mm, but take an old piece with you to the auto store and maybe a fitting or an old fuel pump with you to test the parts house stuff with for fit. I am mostly on the 8mm stuff since I run turboed FI(megasquirt) and newer bus stuff.
