Even with automatic braille translation on, pressing dots 4-5-chord can help
get the braille caught up with you. This is particularly true when you type
text and can't press Enter until text entry has caught up. I hope that's of
some help.

Hi,
A reasonably quick way to search for an app and open it is to make sure focus
is anywhere other than the status bar. Then type Space with dots 3-4-5-6. This
opens Spotlight. Type a few characters and press Enter. Press Space with Dot 4
a few times, and you should reach the app you want.
Hi,
Since Read2Go already does continuous reading within a chapter if you set it to
do that, you won't notice a difference there. It works in Voice Dream Reader,
Kindle, and iBooks, so I think it probably works in any app with multiple
pages. The only problem in Voice dream Reader is that the
Hello,
If the phone is brand new, you'll be able to turn on VoiceOver as soon as the
phone is powered up by pressing the HOme button 3 times. The whole setup
process is spoken by VoiceOver. If you're new to the phone, you may need help
typing in a network password, if you need a password to
Hi,
Open the iTunes store and choose the Purchased link. The album should be listed
with a download link. Choose that link, and you should be all set. Sorry I
can't be more specific, but I use a Mac, and exactly how you get to the store
depends on whether you have the Source list visible.
Hi Michelle,
I've had good luck with the Lion Brand app. It helps to have a braille display
because most of the instructions are in one block of text, but the text is
accessible, and there's no charge to search. The pattern I'm using is free, and
I didn't see any patterns I would have had to
Hi,
The Lion Brand app has patterns that read fine with a braille display. Since
they're long blocks, going through them with VoiceOver alone would be a pin
though. If you wanted to use it without a braille display, I would suggest
using Voice Memos or any voice recorder to record VoiceOver
Hi,
You should be able to turn VoiceOver on through iTunes. With the iPad
connected, find the iPad in the source list or the list of devices, and tab
past Restore and a few more options until you get to Accessibility Options. Use
that dialog to turn on VoiceOVer.

Hi Suzanne,
Yes, you can download music materials, but you need to go to the Music Scores
section and search there, just as you would on the computer. On either device,
you can add these materials to your wish list, and they'll be there when you
want to download them.

Hi,
I use Light detector, which I believe costs a dollar. There are lights on my
washing machine that are half an inch apart, or maybe a little less, and it can
detect which one is on. It plays a tone to indicate intensity, and you can also
double-tap and get numeric feedback on the intensity.
