What is the point of audio FaceTime? I didn't know there was such a thing. Are

occur. Reverse the conditions--phone is not on a Wi-Fi network--the data
meter is running. It has nothing whatsoever to do with who is on a call,

I do facetime calls with a friend of mine and we are both using WIFI.
I usually do audio facetime calls with my friend, although I have done a
facetime video call with my sister a couple of times.

You cannot set such a limit, it would be up to you to check your cellular data
usage and make sure you aren’t going over your limit.
