I usually use Expedia as well and always found it quite accessible. Whichever app you use I suggest that you don’t wait until the last minute, download the app now, sign up and you may even want to add a credit card to make it easier when you book a place. Quite a lot of hotels you can book

Here's another viable option. If you have GoogleMaps on your phone, and know aproximately where you're stopping each night, you can look up and call hotels in designated areas to make reservations in advance of your trip. This will also help you organize the route more definitively.
