managed to connect to an external drive. Just need to share permissions and then double tap the letter of the drive when you connect to your PC as it will show up after successful connection. Hope this helps, Carla. Sent from my iPhone > On 10 Mar 2017, at 2:10 pm, Carla Savage <c

File Browser and Tonido accessing external drives linked to a PC

2017-03-09 Thread Carla Savage
Hi, I was wondering whether either Tonido or File Browser can access external drives linked to a PC? I've tried File Browser and can only see my PC's C drive. I can't see the other drive on the PC or the external drives. Is there a way to get these to show up or am I asking too much? Thanks

Hi, Yes I'm on the same wi-fi network. It does find my laptop and connects just fine. I had a feeling that I needed to share those drives. I'll have another play. Incidentally, how do you use File Browser to share on whatsapp? Still haven't worked out how to do that as when I play an MP3, I

Hi List, I'm sure I'm not dreaming this but I think I did manage to delete all messages in an inbox. What I did was to go and select all, then press delete. I can't remember whether I was in edit first. I may have to experiment and get back to you but it did work. Take care, Carla. Sent

Hi All, I have been in regular contact with Dropbox support throughout this week. They thought they had fixed it but after further testing, I informed them that the so called fix hadn't worked. The support guy emailed me yesterday to say that there is a fix on the way early next week. So, watch

Hi John, That's great. You didn't confuse me. Can you upload a folder with MP3's in it? I'm guessing probably not but just curious. Thanks, Carla. Sent from my iPhone > On 10 Mar 2017, at 7:10 am, wrote: > > Hi Karla, when you get access to your files

Yay! I'm a happy girlie now also. They did tell me that version 38 would fix the problem and it has. So, definitely worth reporting any bugs as they are taking things sieriously. If you do run into any, do report them and tell them how unhappy you are. Take care, Carla. Sent from my iPhone

Hi, You could try Switch by NCH Softwares. Works well with a screen reader and you get a trial so you could convert your file with that. Hope that helps, Carla. Sent from my iPhone > On 3 Dec 2017, at 6:15 am, Gianni wrote: > > You can also mail me if you

Re: Supplementing my iPhone with an iPod: Good Idea?

Hi Craig, I do have an iPod. I like to have separate devices for listening to books and music rather than using my phone and draining it's battery. Personal preference. I now also have a Fire tablet which works really well with Kindle books and just putting on MP3's quickly to listen to.

Re: Questions regarding iPhone voices

2018-04-11 Thread Carla Savage
Hi Terry, I use british voices on my iPhones. I have noticed that on my iPhone 6, the voices can get distorted, however, on my 8, the voices are much clearer. This is due to the better speakers on the 8. I also like Alex, but it draws a lot on the processor so I've switched to the siri female
