Re: iTunes iPhone and JAWS
Hello Jim, I haven't used iTunes for windows in a while so I can't answer all three questions but I can answer the second one. First if you are trying to sync music to your phone then first connect your iPhone to your computer. Next once iTunes opens tab to the iPhone button and then press space. Next tab to the treeview and then use the up or down arrow keys to find music. Then tab to the sync music check box and then press space to ccheck the box. Next after that when you tab again there will be two radio buttons. The first radio button is called sync entire music library this allows you to sync your entire music library. If this is what you want to do then press space to check the box. Then there is a second radio button called sync selective playlists. This allows you if you have already created a playlist to sync just that playlist to your phone. Now if you are going to choose the sync entire music library radio button then after pressing space to check the radio button then from that point tab until you get to the apply button and then press space to confirm. Now if you choose the second option sync selective playlists then you will tabto a table where then you will see your list of playlists that you have created. Once there use the up or down arrow keys to find the playllists you want to sync and then press space. Then tab to the apply button and then press space to confirm. I had the same issue you are having. As the previous poster said you will need to get your battery replaced. Here is the link to the battery replacement program that the previous poster was talking about. https://www.apple.com/support/iphone5-battery/ Sent from my iPhone On Aug 26, 2015, at 7:51 AM, Dan Beaver dbeaver...@gmail.com wrote: Hi, It sounds to me that you need to have your battery checked. Apple has a battery replacement program for many Iphone 5 units. I heard about it on this list and only about 3 months ago I started having similar issues. I checked my phone on their website for this program and it qualified for the replacement. I took it to the Apple store and they checked it and did do a replacement for free. No probloems since. If you do a google search for iphone and battery you will find the site where you can check for qualification on your phone. They will ask for your phone serial number and tell you immediately if it qualifies. You can find your serial number under settings and about on your phone. Re: Problem downloading u.k. english voice on a 4S
Hi if you want to remove the enhanced quality voice and reinstall it try this. First go to settings. Then go to general. Then go to accessibility. Then go to voiceover. Then go to speech. Then go to default dialect. Then swipe to the voice you want to delete and then swipe to the enhanced quality button and then swipe down to delete and then double tap. Then from that point it should say enhanced quality download. You should then be able to redownload the enhanced quality voice. Try that and see if that works. Re: Looking for a txting app I can use on my iPad mini
Hi here is an app that I have used a few years ago when I had a iPod touch. It is called text free. When I used it the app was accesssible but I haven't used it since then so I am not sure what is the status of the accessibility of this app. Here is a link to more info about this app. Text Me! - Free Texting and Messaging + Free Phone Calls + Free Video Call by TextMe, Inc. https://appsto.re/us/m7MQE.i Sent from my iPhone On Aug 13, 2015, at 9:50 AM, Jen Colley jencol...@hotmail.com wrote: Hi, I live in Canada and am looking for an app that I can use on my iPad mini to txt friends in the US and Canada? In particular, I’m looking for a specific punch-in function also found in daisy software, and I hope someone can give me a pointer to such a recorder app. What microphone and connection to use is a different matter. I’m hoping to find a suitable recorder first. In Daisy software on windows, here’s what’s possible. A human reader reads a big chunk of text as audio into the computer’s hard disk. When the reader makes a mistake, what I need is something to easily back up in time and resume recording, starting the record just before the mistake. In a daisy creation tool, Once a human reader makes a mistake, you can easily rewind and go back through audio while you hear the audio playing, like rewinding on a CD player, then you release the rewind button, so that the audio plays again, and then at the exact point in time, just before the mistake happened, the person operating the computer hits the record button, and the reader resumes reading. Windows programs like sigtuna or lp studio pro can do it, but so far, I have not come across any other tool that can do this, nor on a computer, nor on an ipad. Still, I suppose there are many tools on the market that make book reading and recording easy. Does any of you know if something close exists for the iphone or ipad, where you can: 1. rewind through the audio and hear the audio playing as you rewind, 2. Hit record during playback, after which the audio after the play head is discarded, and overwritten with the new material. Very curious to find out. Then swipe to write a review and then double tap. Next you may be prompted to type in your apple ID password. If prompted enter that. Re: resetting iPhone to factory defaults
Yes you are correct. After you go to settings general reset and erase all content and settings you will be prompted to turn off find my iPhone. Yes this will clear everything off the phone. Sent from my iPhone On May 14, 2015, at 11:03 AM, Vicky Collins v-coll...@sbcglobal.net wrote: As I have mentioned previously, I purchased both an iPhone 6 and 6 plus, to see which one I liked the best. Am I correct that going to settings, then to general, then to reset, and then to erase all content and settings will indeed clear everything off the phone? What I mean by this more specifically, is will it prompt me to turn off find my iPhone as part of the reset process, as well as disable Apple Pay for the cards I have on file for this phone? Also, if I'm reading correctly, these same cards will still continue to work without a problem on my iPhone 6? If I attempt to adjust using the volume controls, only the audio and VO are changed while the volume of the sounds remains uncomfortably loud. This is especially disruptive when I'm using headphones. The only way to fix the issue seems to be to turn off the sounds altogether. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there some way to adjust the various volume levels independently one from another? Re: A Question About Moving Photos from the Camera Roll to Any Other Album on the same Device Without Using A Computer
If you are move a photo from the camera role to an album. First open photos next double tap the select button. Next double tap the photo you want I add to a album then choose the add to button. Next choosee the album you want to add the photo to and then double tap. Sent from my iPhone On Jan 8, 2015, at 12:09 PM, M. I conducted several tests and conducted many Google searches but cannot find an answer to this question. The best that I have been able to accomplish, so far anyway, is to merely tag a message so it appears in a different album. The problem, as you may expect, is that when I delete the photo from the Camera Roll, it also gets deleted from any albums. There must be a way to accomplish this as I have no doubt that there must be thousands of people who use iOS devices without benefit of an external resource, as it were. In fact, this problem was first posed to me by an acquaintance who only has an iPhone 6 Plus. Any feedback on this will be greatly appreciated. Firstly add a second location whether you're at your former current location or not it needs there to be two locations in the app. Then make sure all audio playing apps are closed out if they were not closed you might need to exit out of weather radio and come back into it. Once back in Weather radio two finger double tap on the name of the location will bring up an alert screen giving you different items you can choose one of which will include delete.
