Can I ask the difference between fantastical and fantastical 2? is

Do you mean this one for Month Cal:
Month Calendar 2, Procrasty.

They do mention VoiceOver at the end of their description and in the What's New
section.
But, nothing is just called "Month Cal" in the app store.

The native calendar lets you set alerts for an appointment at 5, 15 and 30

Fantastical also gives you 10 minutes, 45 minutes, even 6 or

Re: A Good Calendar App

2016-05-16 Thread Chris Chaffin
Hello All,

Just a little calendar tip.
Just like you can use Siri to create a calendar event, you can also use Siri to
tell you many things regarding your calendar and the events you have coming up.
For example, you can ask Siri things like:

What is on my schedule today? And Siri will list the events and times of what
is on your calendar for that day.
Or, What is on my schedule for the week? And Siri will tell you what is on
your calendar for the week.
Now one thing I do at the first of each month is to get Siri to tell me the
upcoming birthdays for that month. The key to finding things is to make sure
you say it correctly. If I ask Siri what birthdays are scheduled for June,
then Siri will answer that there is none. And that is because for each persons
birthday, I enter on my calendar the person's name and the wore birthday, not
birthdays. So if I ask Siri, what birthday do I have scheduled for June, then
Siri will search the June calendar for every event that has the word birthday
in it and list it out.
Again, Siri can be very helpful in searching your calendar, but you have to
give Siri the correct words to search for.

Like I can ask Siri, when is my next haircut scheduled? And Siri will search
the calendar for the next mention of the word haircut, then she will tell me
the date and time.
So as long as you have an internet connection, Siri can really help you find
things on your calendar very quickly.

I hope this has been helpful!

Chris

Hi Monni, I love fantastical. When you open the app there’s a new event button

information on the correct date. I find it very voice-over friendly. Often I
use Siri to enter a calendar appointment and it shows up in both the native
calendar app and fantastical. I’ve not had much luck finding appointments on
the native app, but it’s simple on fantastical. You find the date and double
tap it. Then go down toward the bottom of the screen and you’ll find the list
of events for that day. Hope this helps. Probably someone can give you better
information, so don’t hesitate to ask.

God bless!

I don’t like the native calendar app. I’ve heard that Fantastical2 is great,

you tell me if this is so or if they fixed the problem if there was one in the

Re: A Good Calendar App

2016-05-14 Thread Krister Ekstrom
That’s exactly why i don’t and will never use Fantastical if it doesn’t change,
and the dev says there are no plans of changing this. The app is of course not
available in Swedish, which means no natural language typing in Swedish. You
could of course get the app and type in Swinglish but why should i have to do
that?

Fantastical does get information from more than one app, like it will also
bring in your reminders, so you will be able to see everything in one app
rather than having to look in multiple apps.
But you can also control what information Fantastical displays in the settings,
so be sure to go into the settings and set things up like you want them.

Fantastical integrates itself with your calendar app, so no matter how you add
something to your calendar, it will end up in both your calendar as well as
Fantastical. The good thing about Fantastical being integrated with your
calendar is that it allows you to use Siri to add something to your calendar,
and then it will show up in Fantastical. The same thing will be for your
reminders if you choose to use Fantastical for them.
So you have multiple ways of adding something to your calendar. You can use
your actual calendar, use Fantastical, or Siri.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Greetings to all:

I am interested in which Thunderbird plug ins work well with both Google

I use Google Calendar, and I don't have any problem syncing it with my
