Re: Questions regarding Apple TV

2020-12-12 Thread regina alvarado
Terry, if you actually ask for the subscription from the apple TV app you will
not need to put your apple ID in, but the subscription will be in the app store
for you to stop or restart as you wish. Yes, any programs you want to watch
will be available in its app, but if you go through the apple TV app you will
be taken to the app automatically. Also, if I go to an app and ask for a show
there if it is attached to the apple app that show you started with the app
will now be shown in the apple TV app. Netflix is one that does not sync with
Apple TV app. Hope this helps.

Ok, let's say that I decide to purchase HBO Max. But I don't want to have to
use the App directly. But I know I have to have it installed.

If within the Apple TV App, can I search , and watch the content that is
offered through HBO Max?

Also, would I need to sign up for HBO Max with my Apple ID, in order for all of
this content to show up through Apple TV?

I am probably still a bit confused here. So any help is grately appreciated.

Netflix asking if you are still watching used to be on the web site. I don't
know if it is still there or not. I haven't tried accessing the site since
losing my vision in 2014. I have quite a bit of difficulty accessing the
rotor on the Apple TV 4. I find it much more difficult than any other Apple
device. I may be doing something wrong.

I think what you need to do to the appleTV in your living room is make sure
speak after delay is on, this should take care of the description not being
read. You can find this in the rotter. As for Netflix asking if your still
watching, I have never been able to find where to extend this to more time,
or just flat out turn it off. So if you find it please let me know.

However, the one in my living room does not do this.

Does anyone have any idea as to why this is different?

Also, is there a way to make the one in my living room do this as well?

Also, I was wondering something.

When watching a series, is there a way to stop Netflix from asking me
if I want to continue? It seems to do this at about every 3rd episode.
I find it annoying!

Any help with these questions would be appreciated.

questions regarding Apple TV

2017-03-15 Thread Terri Stimmel
Hello everybody,

I was wondering about something with my Apple TV's. I have 2 of them.
They are both the 4th generation model. From what I can tell, both of
them are up to date.

However, they both act a bit differently. I am hoping someone can tell
me why this is.

For example, on my Apple TV in the bedroom, when I am watching Netflix,
when the next show in a series comes up, it gives me the title and a bit
of information about it.

However, the one in my living room does not do this.

Does anyone have any idea as to why this is different?

Also, is there a way to make the one in my living room do this as well?

Also, I was wondering something.

When watching a series, is there a way to stop Netflix from asking me if
I want to continue? It seems to do this at about every 3rd episode. I
find it annoying!

Any help with these questions would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Terri

2016-10-29 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
And if you don’t mind spending another $20 then get the most excellent book
“The Apple Of Your Eye” written by Jonathan Mosen which tells you everything
you want to know and probably more about the Apple TV Fourth Generation. You
can find it at www.mosen.org<http://www.mosen.org>.

There are a lot of apps you can enjoy for free, but you will still have to pay
for subscriptions for NetFlix, Hulu, CBS and others. There are thousands of
apps in the Apple TV app store and it grows bigger and bigger every day. It is
tedious finding what wil work with VoiceOver but in my opinion it has been well
worth the money that I spent for mine. I don’t regret it for a minute.

Subject: Questions regarding Apple TV, and paid subscriptions, and other content

Hello everybody,

I know that I should purchase the latest generation of the AppleTV. But I have
some concerns. It seems so different, and so new from what I already have. I
honestly wish that I could just stick with what I have. But I realize I can't.
Anyway, it seems as though it is going to be something new for me to learn.
While I love to learn, I don't like complications, or things I don't
understand, or things I struggle to understand. This is very frustrating! I did
find a refurbished 64 gig, AppleTV, at Best Buy. I believe the cost was $160.
If I am remembering correctly. I am assuming this is a good deal? So here is
what I would like to know.
I have a subscription to Netflix, I have a subscription to Hulu, and I have a
subscription for CBS all access. I love them all. Sometimes I think I'm not I
like Netflix the best though. Anyway, if I purchased the new generation Apple
TV, will I still pay for Netflix, and Hulu, and CBS all access?
If so, that is most perfectly fine. I just wanted to make sure that I was
understanding things correctly.

No I don't really know if I need a 64 gig Apple TV. Mainly, because I don't
really understand what you can do with it that is supposedly so great! I mean,
I don't want to put Spotify on there, or tuning on there, because this is why I
have my iPad mini. I put all those sorts of things on there. So why would I
want them on both, or on all three of my products? To me, that just doesn't
make much sense! Also, I don't play too many games on my iPhone, and I don't
have any games on my iPad mini. That's the way I prefer it. So why would I want
games on my Apple TV? To me and AppleTV is were just that, TV. So what other
apps are on the new generation of Apple TV?
I know what's on the one I have now, and I know I have to pay for some of them,
in order to use them. I don't have cable. So a lot of stuff I can't seem to use
anyway. With the newer generation, is it the same sort of deal? Do you have to
have a cable subscription, in order to watch a lot of what is on there?

Or are there apps that you can watch for free?
If so, what are some of them? What kind of content do they show? Please someone
help me understand why upgrading is so important? Besides the fact that I can't
update my Apple TV. Please help me understand that there is a reason to do
this. I don't get it! I will admit that.
I also don't understand why we would want to add a bunch of apps onto the
AppleTV. Any thoughts, help, suggestions, or advice would be very much
appreciated!

Thank you,

2 different questions, regarding Apple TV

2014-04-19 Thread Terri S
Hello everyone,

I have 2 questions, and I hope someone might be able to help me.

First of all, is there a way to use the Charter AP, with my Apple TV?
If so, how does this work?

My other question is this.
How do I get my stuff in my library, to show up on my Apple TV?
Is there a way to do this?
I think all I can view right now, are photos. But I would like to enjoy much
more, if at all possible.

Thank you,
Terri

I don't know about charter but your music, movies, and any audio books you
buy directly from the itunes store will show up in your apple tv if you turn
on sharing at both ends.
