I use NeoApeech Kate almost exclusively. To me, Kate sounds more clear than
Jakes. He doesn't sound too muffled, but I do find it noticeable.
I think NeoSpeech uses 22 KHZ voices sometimes.
I aalso sometimes use Brigit, Emma, or Rona.
Thanks,
Ari

The only problem I have with James is that he sounds a little bit muffled. I
don't know if anybody has noticed that. What I don't like about voices like
Kendra and Sharon is how darn deep they are for female voices.

Ari

Well technically, Emma is a higher pitched version of Amy. Just saying.

I'm pretty sure that the new speech bundle of Kate and Paul I got for windows
uses 22 kHz voices. I could be wrong, though. Oddly, Hugh doesn't sound muffled
to me, like James does. It's not a ton of muffling, but enough to be
noticeable. It's not super annoying, though. I imagine I can get

Hmmm. I don't think they do. All the Neospeech voices I've come across, like
Paul, Kate, Julie, James and Brigit, all use 16 KHZ. I don't really care for
Ashley or Hugh, but from what I've seen, they both are 16 KHZ. Maybe Neospeech
does sell 22 KHZ voices, but odds are that those are only

Hey Ari. You kinda got me curious. What female voice do you like in Voice
Dream? The only two voices I can think of that are not so deep or "seductive"
are Acapela Tracy or Lucy. But I'd like to get your input. I don't think Sharon
is that deep sounding but I agree with you that her

Well, I really do like James. I think he is the best male voice by far. And
also still really like Kendra. I am so sorry to see those voices going away.
But it is such a personal decision about which voices you like. So many like
Sharon. And I find her entirely too seductive. I think that was
I don't like her, either. Lol. She's too deep of a voice for my taste. This
deep female voice thing seems to be kind of common.

Oh, God. You're right about voices being subjected. I can't stand Sally. She's
got the same inflection for every sentence l; and that inflection is so flat.
As for Julie, I like the way she reads, but her actual voice quality is too
breathy/high-pitched for my liking. She sounds sort of
I actually like Sharon from Acapela a lot. She reads things with so much
expression. Sally's too robotic for me. Speaking of Ivona though, One of my
Twitter followers retweeted a tweet from the official Voice Dream account,
@voicedreamapp, that Ivona will be discontinuing its iOS TTS Christmas
James is ok, but I'm partial to Sally. I max out on Sally speed, but can only
go roughly 480 or so WPM with James. I wanted to try Julie , but it seems that
voice is no longer available to purchase. It's not an Ivona voice, so who
knows.
Ultimately though, it's personal preference.
