Hi
Respectfully, that really depends on how you define good advice. The
majority of consumers don't need to purchase equipment to replace that
provided by their ISP's & I'm sure you're part of that
routers and similar network gear.

Hello Bob,
Generally speaking I strongly recommend against using any wireless provider's
WiFi connection system. In some cases, one may obtain
a standalone MODEM from the provider, one without any WiFi capab

The WiFi routers I've used usually have a limit of 250 devices and they were
not that expensive, maybe $50.
I believe I have a Linksys now, but I do not know the model number off hand.
I'd say it would have to be a very old router to have that low of a limit.

Some of the older verizon routers limit wireless clients to 6 by default

I may have the numbers in the model wrong.
You can change this to 10 if you log in to the router but it will not
take anymore then that.

i have heard that some routers have limits on how many wifi connections they
can handle or assign details to, and we are failing to connect additional
devices. Even domestic appliances are being fitted with wifi now for some
reason.

Do you mean you want to plug more devices into your router than it has ports?
If so just look for a 5-port or 8-port desktop switch
which all companies make, Linksys, D-Link, Netgear etc.
You use one of the ports of your router (most of them have 4 ports) an

Hi, what solutions do people have when your router can no longer accept any
more pods/pads/phones/etc?
A device to hook to an rj45 port/socket would be good.
Thoughts please?
