That would be totally annoying to have to remove your iPhone from its case just to charge it. I've got an otterbox case for my iPhone 8. It cost me $40 and I somehow recently cracked it a little on the back part of the case, but I can just plug in my lightning to USBC cable and my iPhone charges

Janet, I am wondering if possibly it could be the case that you have your phone in. Some chargers will not charge your phone with certain cases in them. Maybe you will have to remove the case when you want to charge the phone. I’m not sure about that, it’s just a suggestion. Sent from Diane's
