Hi Richard, Yes, there's a Notes app on the Mac, and it syncs with the one on iOS devices as long as the notes are created in the iCloud folder of the app and iCloud is turned on on both the Mac and the iOS device or devices. Also, Notes needs to be turned on in iCloud settings on all devices

For auto brightness to stay at zero, you need to leave the screen curtain on then when you need sighted help, turn off the screen curtain and the brightness will jump up so they can see it. If you want it to stay at zero until you are ready to manually increase it, turn off auto brightness.

Donald, I did almost all of the steps I outlined transferring settings, etc. from my old iPhone 8 to my new iPhone SE before I transferred the SIM card from the 8 to the SE. So I don't think not having a SIM card in your new phone will matter as long as it has access to your wifi. Alan
