On your phone don’t start flicking when you here that you are on the side bar.
Just tap the screen in the middle and you should be where you want to be. When
you tap on the screen rather than flicking from the side bar, it should land
you on the last tweet you read.

The issue on my end is the tabs, for instance the 3rd one, defaults back to Likes; I always like leaving it on one of my lists, Priority Tweets in which I have tweets from news and other sources, 1st ones I like to look at in the mornings, or when I look at Twitter quickly to see what’s new or what

coming soon. I have found that if you do a manual refresh on the timeline it
will load the proper text in the Tweet.

and it came down surprisingly fast, and, better still (I think), it got put

Are you trying to do this update off a Wi-Fi that work? Try to update with your
cellular data or if you're trying to use cellular data, try a Wi-Fi network. I
would suggest a hard reset, hold the lock button and the home button and the
same time for about eight seconds to reboot your device.
