Re: Twitterrific problem

2021-01-01 Thread 'Harry Bell' via VIPhone
Thanks, Greg! That solution works well! Even when using my Orbit Writer Braille
keyboard with my iPhone and VoiceOver focus lands on the sidebar, there still
does seem to be no way to jump to the tweet last read on the screen main body
other than, as you said. stabbing a finger at the screen! If anyone knows of a
Braille command , do say!
Cheers
Harry

Re: Twitterrific problem

2021-01-01 Thread Greg Wocher
Hello,
On your phone don’t start flicking when you here that you are on the side bar.
Just tap the screen in the middle and you should be where you want to be. When
you tap on the screen rather than flicking from the side bar, it should land
you on the last tweet you read.

RE: Twitterrific experiences with voiceOver’s new Description settings?

2020-09-16 Thread Simon A Fogarty
That to me sounds like meta data,

If the meta data is there with the tweet then yes you should here it,
That of course is dependant on the way that data is tagged to make it viewable
by vo.

Subject: Twitterrific experiences with voiceOver’s new Description settings?

YOu guys know how on the native Twitter app, when you’re on top of a tweet
sometimes it gives you a summary of what’s on it? On Spotify, for instance, you
get the artist’s name, song and other info. With Twitterrific, you don’t seem
to have access to such info! I’m curious, if with the new Description features
in Voiceover, would one be able to read these kinds of tweets with Twitterrific?

Re: Twitterrific - how to select and copy text?

2020-04-16 Thread Ed Worrell
Hello,

You also can simply use the share option in the VO rotor when on the tweet you
would like to copy. This will open the default iOS share sheet and Twitterrific
adds an copy option in the lower half of the share sheet in actions.

Re: Twitterrific - how to select and copy text?

2020-04-16 Thread Chris Chaffin

You can use the label editor to do this. When on the tweet you want to select,
do a 2 finger double tap and hold. A pop up screen will appear with the tweet
in an edit field. You can then use the text selection and the edit controls in
the rotor to select and do what you wish with the text.

Hope this helps.

That’s why I gave up on it, though I’ll miss some of itsfeatures!

Hello,

I have been in contact with the developer of Twitterrific and there is a fix
coming soon. I have found that if you do a manual refresh on the timeline it
will load the proper text in the Tweet.

Re: TwitTerrific Questions?

2019-07-31 Thread Ed Worrell
Hello Fuzzel,

Yes the side bar is the main menu. Sorry that I didn’t make that clearer in my
description. My bad.

Peter, In the iOS 13 beta if you do a one finger double tap it will stop the
video and it’s audio that is playing. I will see if I can get the developer to
make the proper correction and give the two finger double tap back in a future
update.

Also, yes you can play the videos .. There is usually an "open media" in the
rotor. They seem to keep looping so you will have to use the close button when
done which will put you back in the list...Please note however with IOS 13
beta, I can't get them to stop without getting out of the app and then closing
it down ...

Hello,

There is a side menu with all of your feed options in it such as profile, home,
mentions, messages, your tweets that you’ve liked, search, etc. This menu is
the main menu where you can find everything you can interact with on Twitter.

There are also three tabs located in the top center of the screen these can me
customized to your liking. You double tap and hold on one of the tabs and it
will show you options in a pop up menu that you can change the tab to. You can
have your home feed, mentions and messages at the top tabs for quick access to
them.

All of the feeds such as your home feed can be interacted with VoiceOver rotor
gestures for quick access. Simply doing a swipe up or down after VoiceOver has
read a tweet will give you all of the hashtags, links videos or images in the
tweet. You will also be presented with quick actions in this same menu to
retweet, like, quote, etc. To activate an option just double tap on it.

You can also double tap on the tweet and it will take you to the reply/thread
screen to view the entire conversation.

app is open or not since Twitterrific is set to show up in my notification

Re: Twitterrific and refreshing

2016-10-13 Thread Traci Duncan
Sure, tap the menu button in the top left, then go down to accounts. Double
tap and hold on the account that you want to clear cache for. This part is a
little inconsistent. I had to double tap and hold, but then I ended up double
tapping again. A menu appears towards the bottom giving you options to clear
cache or delete the account. Twitterrific recommends clearing the cache if you
are having troubles loading tweets in your timeline.

This is what was happening to me. I’d go into the app, say on a Tuesday
morning, and my feed wouldn’t refresh. It would be sitting there from 12 hours
ago, or a few days.

Something to keep in mind when you clear the cache… If you have the top tabs
customized, you will need to redo those. It brings them back to the defaults.

HTH,
Traci

Hi, I cleared my cache in the app and that seemed to help. I’m not brought to
the top when new Tweets come in, but when I move to lists, it refreshes better
now. If I flick right from the top row of lists, past the search box, I land
on the most recent Tweet.

:) That’s the way I prefer it. *Crosses fingers it works for a while.

Re: Twitterrific and refreshing

2016-10-11 Thread Mary Otten
I have always tap to the status bar to make sure I'm back at the top. Actually,
I kind of like it that I'm not forced up there. For instance, if I'm reading
down in my timeline, and it refreshes which sometimes happens, I don't want to
be taken back up to the top. I want to keep reading until I'm done, then go
back to the top. I don't find having to double tap to go up there any sort of a
big deal, and I'm pretty sure it didn't start with iOS 10.

Re: Twitterrific update

I don't like the rotor being yoused in this way. I find that it sometimes
kicks in when I don't want it and you end up making a mess of things and having
to correct. I really just don't like it! :-) I hope it does evolve into
something that means you can choose whether or not you want to have the
facility turned on.

RE: Twitterrific update

2016-05-04 Thread Cristóbal
I just double tap on the link after flicking down to be focused on it. If
there's a hashtag, that may appear first before having to flick down to get to
the link, but that's pretty much it.
It's similar to Tweetings where you can do alot of stuff from the action rotor
without having to double tap/activate the actual tweet.

And I noticed the very problem you mentioned on the iPad, which caused me not

Re: Twitterrific Update Problem

2015-11-10 Thread Feliciano Godoy
Glad you got it working. When something is just not acting right, the hard
reset usually does the trick. If that doesn't do the trick, resetting the
device to factory settings should be the last resort. Your device may actually
perform better than before.

Re: Twitterrific Update Problem

2015-11-10 Thread Tom Lange
Greetings and felicitations, Feliciano,
I tried the update using both cellular and wi-fi, but that was before I posted
my query here. I'll try the hard reset and see what happens; that may be just
the thing I need to shake things loose. I'll let you know what happens.
Best regards

Re: Twitterrific Update Problem

2015-11-09 Thread Feliciano Godoy
Are you trying to do this update off a Wi-Fi that work? Try to update with your
cellular data or if you're trying to use cellular data, try a Wi-Fi network. I
would suggest a hard reset, hold the lock button and the home button and the
same time for about eight seconds to reboot your device.

RE: Twitterrific and Ios 9

2015-09-30 Thread Cristóbal
Hashtag is the actual and correct term. it's us screen readers who have been
hearing it wrong the whole time. It could even be considered an accessibility
improvement/bug fix. In the PC Chicken Nugget Twitter client, I even included a
Jaws dictionary manager entry to have the number/pound sign pronounced as
hashtag. It's most likely one of those things you'll just have to get used to.
If you're dead set on having the number sign misspoken as number in that app,
then I don't think there is a means of accomplishing it.

Hi all,
I just updated my iPhone 6 to Ios 9 yesterday. In twitterrific there is a
focus issue when going through messages which I knew about, but also voice
over is now saying hashtag instead of #. Is there a way to stop voice over
from saying hashtag? This is kind of annoying.

Open the link. After a second or two, there will be a "bookmark" button in the
bottom center of the screen; double tap that, and there you go. I still wish
you could save right from a popup menu like Tweetlist, but the developers say
there is not enough interest. Please, if this is a feature you want as well,
drop them a note.

re: Twitterrific five…

2013-08-09 Thread Stephanie Mitchell

would uninstalling and reinstalling the app do this?
Steph

- Original Message -
From: Kirsten Edmondson Dear all, I'm currently having issues with Twitterrific five, in
that it is extremely slow to load and it often crashes when I try
to reply to mentions or DMs. I checked out the help section of
the app, and found that it would be advisable to clear my cash.
This seems to be my problem. However the instructions given were
quite visual, and I found it, impossible to do with voice-over.
I contacted the developer, and their response is below. Although
it is a minimal response, it does show that they continue to be
aware of us. So I thought I would forward just in case anyone
else has a similar issue.

You cannot clear the cache using voice over I'm afraid (a design
flaw that is on the list to improve). If you can get a sighted
friend to help you with the procedure, it should greatly improve
refresh times on the app. Wish I had better instructions for you
but I don't right now. Let me know, thanks.

Re: twitterrific no longer works

2013-06-12 Thread Mary Otten
James,
The old version of twitterific is dead because Twitter killed the old api it
used. I have not seen the vo stuttering problem you mentioned with the new
version. The only thing I haven't found is a means of forcing a refresh to the
time line. I tried three finger swipe down from top of screen to no avail. It
seems to refresh when it wants to, and that seemingly not as often as the older
version. Or maybe my timeline is just quieter than usual. If you follow
twitteriffic in your timeline, you will have seen tweets warning that the old
version was going away and telling folks to get the version 5.

Re: twitterrific no longer works

2013-06-12 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi, Twitterific 5 is the one you want for the accessibility. Also, the
reason it repeats the name over and over on newer tweats is due to the
seconds of the tweet in how long ago it was posted. If you move down to
older tweets or wait a few seconds, you will see that the tweet doesn't
stutter once the seconds get higher. All in all, I highly recommend
Twitterific 5.

Thanks.

on that issue, why might it be working? a developer could not have done
something on their end to provent the older version from working. either
twitter had a change in its settings that the developer took advantage of in
releasing a new version which costs money, or the app was designed to stop
working at a certain period of time. never seen an iphone application stop

No. Twitterific isn't working for me either, and it is the older version that
I'm using. Also, Nightowl refuses to work on my Mac, so I'm out of options for
twitter. At least for the moment.

RE: Twitterrific no longer works?

2013-06-11 Thread AnonyMouse
Hello James,

Just to let you know along with others. Today was the day that Twitter has
pushed over to their v1.1 API. So this means as of this afternoon. That a
few apps will no longer work until they get this updated. Not certain if
this is in your case.

This includes the The Qube on the Microsoft platform as well.

As for Twitterrific. Make sure you have the Twitterrific 5 for Twitter
v5.2.2. This is still working. All other older version most likely will no
longer be working.

Lastly, there are reports coming out slowly that other apps that use the
Twitter as part of their app are having the same problem. I have confirmed
this in a handful as of tonight.

If you do have the latest version of the Twitterrific 5 for Twitter and
continue to have problems. I highly advise you in contacting them since this
is still working for the most of us.

HTH

Regards,
AnonyMouse

If you are using the latest Twitterrific

I have another twitterrific question. Sometimes, not all the tweets of my
timeline are shown to me. I know this as these tweets show up on the native
twitter app or the twitter website. Why does this happen, and is there a way
of being able to read my complete timeline?

Thanks,
