Does anyone know of anywhere you can buy an Iphone 4s 64GB black in perth tax
free, if not does anyone have any experience with buying and then claiming the
tax at the airport, does the phone have to be unopened when you go to the tax
counter?, and in this case does anyone know any retailers
Hi People,
Apple has very quietly updated its MacBook Pro line of laptop computers,
keeping form factors and prices in place, but adding slightly speedier
processors and graphics.
The entry-level MacBook Pro, which features a 13-inch display, is now sold with
a 2.4-gigahertz dual-core Intel

All the international airports [Aust I mean] operate the same. You are able to
have in your possession [purchase] and use the iPhone for 30 days prior to
departure, so it can be either unopened in original box or opened. You need the
original receipt showing GST. They will check the
Hi John,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Also I had misunderstood your
question, so my previous rushed reply probably made no sense to you ;-)
Especially the bit about Time Machine backup in Lion not being backward
compatible with Snow Leopard.
One further question; when I do
Hi all, I have an anomaly occurring and not sure if it is something I am/ am
not doing or otherwise. I have an iPhone 4 (iOS 4.3.7) and kids each have an
iPod Touch 4th generation (all iOS5). all 4 machines have Find My iPhone app
installed. The iPhone for the moment cannot be upgraded to iOS5
Hi folks,
A couple of weeks ago I was wandering around the Apple centre in the city.
There I spied the above mentioned for $30.00.
For my Magic Mouse I usually buy those blue Energiser long lasting AA batteries.
They cost about $15.00 per pair.
However they seem to only last not much more than
Most chargers have a light which indicates charging and fully charged.

Hi Stephen,
There is a light on the charger which is red when charging, and then goes green
when they are fully charged, takes a few hours. Then you just take them out of
the charger and keep them for when they are needed. They are designed to have a
very low standby discharge, so even if you

Hi Peter,
I have had only good experiences with Find My iPhone. I just checked now and
all my listed portable devices and MacBook Pro are shown safely at home. There
are two ways to locate your equipment, one is using the web interface at
iCloud.com and the other is with the Find My iPhone app
Thanks Ronni, so appreciate that, I'm in Sydney right now but will try when I

Thanks Ronni,
That is the reply I was hoping for. Now to give Lion a go and see what
happens. By the way, how do you find Lion now it is installed on your main
computer?

A bit late in replying to this query.
I have the apple charger and three sets (pairs) of apple rechargeable
batteries. This set up works fine for my Magic Trackpad, Mighty Mouse and one
set on standby. Have been using this for around twelve months now and it sure
saves having to look for
Hi John,
I’m ‘starting’ to like certain things about Lion, I think it’s mainly getting
used to a somewhat ‘different’ operating system than Snow Leopard.
Similar, but different in many aspects. I can see the benefits of some changes,
others not so much.
The more I work in Lion, the more I will
Thank you again. The screen is now sorted and something I couldn't open, an
animated calendar, now opens again. I will take Ray's advice and hold on to
the memory stick for a few weeks before asking if anyone would like it.

Yes, I too am sold on the charger and rechargeables for Magic Mouse and
Keyboard. A word of interest; due to the voltage/discharge characteristics of
the rechargeables as against straight throwaway cells the indications in the
Bluetooth menu drop down fall rapidly at first then hold at quite

They are all sent physical calendars, but some are not as reliable as others in

Is there a program that I can set up a regular email to be sent to them
reminding them of an impending appointment?
I have

I can not find any link to prove it now but I know I did see some time ago from
a respected web site that the Apple rechargeable batteries are re-badged Sanyo
Eneloops. I would assume the charger may also be a re-badged Sanyo. I bought
Eneloops for my Sony digital camera and they last and last.
