Hi Brian, I know the Apple USB Keyboard and they are such a favourite. I use the same and love this model. Sounds like there is nothing wrong with the USB socket on your iMac if it’s servicing the KB without the Numeric Keypad so I like Peter’s idea of giving the suspect KB
