Hi Lyn, I use the iPad for light Internet checking emails and the web. Using

Hi Rod,I understand that the rate depends on the service provider you happen to be hooked up to at the time. This can vary. You have the option with the iPhone to lock onto one particular provide or automatically connect to the strongest signal. The data will be charged by the service provider over
Rod, you are most likely better off buying data off your hotel's wireless
network - I'm on the 3 network, and it was going to cost a bomb to use that due
to the call costs.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else can replicate this apparent bug in iOS4?
On my MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.4 I use the birthday date entered into
Address Book to show birthdays in iCal.
Works fine.
I sync this data to my iPhone 3GS running iOS4 via the iTunes 9.2, USB
connection setup.
Hi Robin,
Not a problem with my families birthday notes over 80. Using 10.6.4 and iOS4.

I highly recommend turning Data Roaming off to avoid the annoying $400
data bill.
I just turned it on when I found myself needing to use Maps or look up
timetables etc. then turned it straight off again.

To give you an idea of cost... less than 3 mins in the UK whilst

others have suggested, get a local SIM in the country you are
traveling to or talk to your mobile provider before you go to see what
other options there might be.

I also reset the PMU (whichever one it's called) ;o)
And just remembered that the other thing I forgot to try is to remove the

Yes, that's on the list to check tomorrow.
Thanks for the suggestion, appreciated :)
Though, just seems strange that it affects an external Bluetooth mouse to

Hi Daniel,
I had something similar (a bit different though), happen to a client's new

He was unable to 'double click' on anything. The only way I could open anything

I noticed he had Double-Click speed set at the highest speed (Fast), or

The line appears to be fine at the moment although it was noisy yesterday.

Another thing I just thought of. Does 'Tap clicking' work? Or is it just the

Also have you tried a firmware restoration?

Hi Ronni
I think we tried the tap to click,..or tried to turn it on at least. It's
hard to select things when you can't click to actually do it,..lol :o)
Haven't tried the firmware restoration as yet,...might be fun with limited
clicking also. Will see how it goes.
Thanks though.

I'd suggest you do the alternate sim card bit.
Just back from the States my provider 3 network screwed it up when
I asked them to turn International roaming OFF, they made sure it was
turned ON.
Thinking it was off I used the phone to look at sites etc ran up a
bill of nearly $400,
Have you tried booting of the install CD, see if it works when not booted from

If it works you could do an archive install.
