I have recently purchased a Macbook Pro for my 10 yo and it is running
Mavericks. I noticed subsequently that it is now reporting in my “Find My
iPhone” devices listing – as “Macbook 2000”.
Is it a Maveriks feature that is now making it report or is it able to be set
to report in Find my

Find My iPhone has to be activated for each device in the iCloud Account
Settings.
As long as you have the service enabled in the iCloud settings for each device,
it’s easily trackable via another iOS device, or a web browser on the desktop.

configuration of my network setup. I set up my iPhone in Hotspot tethering
mode and connected the iPad and one of the iPod Touch's and naturally, they
worked with Find my iPhone. Both devices found good location

service. I have 6 iCloud devices in the house and had previously set up all of

Hi, I've got a few issues with this app. Myself and wife both have iPhones and
each of 3 kids have have 8GB iPods all with the app installed and all with
latest 5.0.1 iOS. Find my iPhone works well with the iPhones 100% reliably.
Trying to locate the iPods is about 5% reliable. Generally I get
