The Postal Service announced it was no longer requiring a waiting period of 5 years to make a stamp of a person and would make stamps for living persons, so why not ANDY??? Why not the whole cast of The Andy Griffith Show? A whole sheet of stamps to commemorate the characters on the show

There is an address where you can write suggesting different stamps. I don't have it at this very moment, but possibly someone has posted it here before. I'm all for the stamps, too, but I'm going to buy them at the counter, too, not from one of those machines. I don't trust 'em... Happy

Here in our town, the post office sends out an envelope about 3 times a year and this is an envelope that can be used to order stamps by mail. That is the way I get my stamps. Just put a check in the envelope, mark what you want and they are sent back to you in about 3 days. No driving

As to postage stamps commemorating Mayberry stars, the rule has just been changed. It used to be someone had to be dead 10 years before being considered for a stamp, but from what I hear it has been lowered to 5 years. Perhaps there could be one for Aunt Bea, Floyd, Otis, Howard, Ben Weaver
