I join my anceanos and all those who came after in wishing Doc the happiest of

Missed a chance to be a witness at your wedding; never, in fact, got to meet
you in DC all those years we shared a similar zip code. But this sounds
exciting and certainly cutting-edge without having to work too hard at seeming
relevant (may some of that rub off on us).A win win! Huge
March is typically a blah month but as we enter the last week we get to perk
up with knowing you are enjoying a raucous birthday somewhere and
brightening up your surrounds.
Happy happy!

Doc,
The feeling is mutual. In whatever small way I might be able to participate, I
would be glad to do so. I am slow of study but you are so right….this is 50
years.

In my own case I think it is impossible to overstate the impact that Winedale
had on me…in every small aspect of my life. Despite the years and the
distance, the ties remain strong. Many, many happy returns, Doc. I hope you

This is where I fervently wish I were a few years younger; I never had the
chance to meet Robert Faires. But we all bask in reflected glory and claim him
as one of the larger group. Well done, Robert!

Another small world story. We are in Maine at present, now spending a week on Lake Cobbossee in a rental. Went for a hike yesterday to a small conservancy (Mt Pisgah) where we climbed up and eventually ascended a fire tower. At the top were a group of 4I had seen a Texas license plate so ask
