Untangle, Astaro (free 10 user - 10 IP address). Astaro is
professional grade and really nice but it can be hard saying under the
10 IP limit if you have lots of network enabled devices. Untangle is
more consumer grade with a cartoon like interface but it's still
pretty cool.

Yeah, I forgot to mention OpenDNS but you have to set up your router
to block or redirect access to other DNS services. Otherwise they'll
just go right around it.
Another thing about OpenDNS is you will have a record of what bad
sites were attempted, but you can't tell which computer
That works good for young kids to keep them from bumping into bad
stuff, but if your kids are older and more determined to get to what
you're trying to block then a solution they don't have physical access
to it mandatory.

Any suggestions for a reliable inexpensive point to point voip adapter
that will carry a digital phone extension across wireless to a remote
office. Here's the scenario: A manufacturing environment needs to
extend a phone extension out to a guard shack. The wireless network is
already in place,
Usually the phone guy has to install a interface board to give analog OPX in
the PBX. Each system is proprientary so there is no after market converter
that is universal that I know of.

What we are looking for is not really a converter, but an adapter that just
extends one extension out of say a punch block over wireless to a remote
office. So that they could plug in one of their digital phones into it and
have a live extension.

I would also agree this company is great to deal with. I have a 190'
NSX tower and it has worked for my little ISP. However, with the
positive that it does work just like Bob says, they are not solid-rod
towers like Valmont, so the life is yet to be determined. They are
hot-dipped
You will never see another tower built like the old ATT microwave towers -
I've climbed one and can tell you its built to survive nuclear blast.

Seriously, that's what I'm using right now, and it works well enough

This is not supported. For this to work the interface would have to be
capable of replicating all the digital PBX signals from end to end
(digital phone to PBX port). Currently only analog PSTN replication is
supported or pure VoIP. Digital PBX systems (non-VoIP) do not fall
under either category.

Hi,
We have a client who can't send his batched credit card payments. It's

Well, Comcast typically does not provide their own transit, they buy transit
from others. There are reasons for that, for example because they may buy
effectively since they do mostly download and provide little content, or to
stay focused on their core competency which is not transit. That

For example, is Comcast willing to route your IPs and do BGP and such, just
like any other upstream transit provider?
Or are they just willing to sell you a high capacity discount Comcast
service?
