Yes it works. You can define one port as the uplink port, then the
others cannot see each other, only the uplink port. This is strictly
port based vlan.

The biggest thing the CMM provides is GPS timing. (other than a Ethernet
switch & Power).
If you want to use a different GPS timing provider, then you don't have
to use a "CMM"... (e.g. www.packetflux.com)
