Went through this with SR9's from Ubiquiti. Even though it was known
there was issues with a series or run of SR9 cards, some distributors,
rather than send all the cards back and getting new ones, left the old
cards in stock and sold them knowing there was a percentage of cards

Not cheap but Streakwave has the Pac Wireless ones. We use both the
standard and long ones. They are, by far, the strongest and easiest to deal
with out of all of the one's I've tried. Only two bolts rather than three.
You can flip them to go out or keep the radio closer to the base. Very
I just got a BumbleBee Tablet. With 2 day shipping it was almost $5k. It's
a well laid out kit, nicely done. I'm not sure I like the unit yet but It's
certainly a lot easier to use and figure out than my Advantest!

Given the experience out here it might be worth creating a database of bunk
modular radios with date codes and/or batch numbers. In addition to our
standard test regimen, we mark every radio with a little sticker that
identifies who we bought it from. This helps narrow down the problem
Please keep us posted on it - I have been wanting one since the day they
came out. I have also been thinking about trying one of these:

full featured.

Hey Gang, I just hook up with the local Dish Network or Direct TV
installers. They usually have a stack of old ones in the back. If they
don't?(Like 2$ each?), I have been buying new ones for less than $4
each. They can order them in boxes of 20 or 25 I think. No shipping, no
hassles and it
Where do you get new ones for less than $4?

Chuck,
They get a mount with every new dish or directtv system they put in, from my
understanding. They often don't use the mounts so they stack up in the
installer's garage until he throws them away or sells them. They often sell
them at $2-$4 for extra income.

I have been looking for a very large and regular supply of these. Winegard
wants about $5 each new for 100. Have even considered making the tooling to
punch them out myself.

Ya, that's what I thought as well... so we deployed about 15 of them on
tower sites... and then I did a test by switching customers from 5.3ghz
to 5.8ghz (just changing the channel on the radios, with everything else
the same) and we see a 3-5db difference. :(

Hi,
Just wanted to share some useful information about the Mikrotik RB333
vs. RB532. We recently replaced an RB532 that had failed with a RB333
for a backhaul link. What we did not realize until a week after the
replacement was that the RB333 was rebooting about every 4-6 hours. We

I have only seen this on mine when my power over enet was bad.
I query for uptime via snmp and graph the resulting tick count. You should see
a VERY boring rise on your graphs... If you see a sawtooth, things are bad and
rebooting too much.
Also, my 333 had a bios update with the recent 3.4
