wow, this argument AGAIN?
Let's look at this closely...UBNT certified the XR3 - 3.7 as a
standalone module, and the FCC accepts their certification NO MATTER WHAT OS
OR DRIVERS CONTROL IT because it has been proven to not radiate outside of
the designated frequencies.I hold the license
Nonsense, Matt.
Read the grant yourself. The grant is MODULAR certification, meaning you
can use the module in any way you choose, so long as you lable the device as
containing blah blah and comply with the antenna rules. This is very
explicitly true.
I believe that UBNT has written

Mark,
But those rules are under Part 90 and not Part 15. Two different sets of
rules as I recall. The 3.65 band is FCC Part 90 and the unlicensed bands are
not.

We are wanting to convert a 3 sector Karlnet tower over to a MT based
station.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to convert it with the least
amount of downtime for my customers.
Thanks,
Steve Nedolast
Does anyone here have a Hold Harmless Contract for a water tower or even a
tower in general? The owners of the water tower wants a hold harmless contract
in case something happens to the climber while on their property. I would
appreciate any help with this.
Build a new network right over the top of the old one. Then move customers
one at a time. When they are all moved (maybe one sector at a time?), take
down the old gear.

MT equipment, Old Prisim radios, 2 sectors bridged at ap, entire network is
routed and bandwidth control on all served customers. Sometimes the site
gets congested and customers indicate that performance gets slow. approx
60-65 customers between the two sectors.

The answer depends on a number of factors:
Are you planning on running MT in 802.11b mode or in NStreme?
If you plan to run NStreme, you will need to change out all of your
Turbocell client radios and replace with MT clients.
If you plan to run 802.11b, you should be able to reuse many if not

In the old days of using Breezecom Pro.11 gear tweaking RTS helped heaps.
Generally setting RTS on the AP to 1600 and on the SM's at about 50 was the
trick. YMMV.

Yes but experiment with different thresholds on the SM's starting with
500 bytes instead of 50.

I got tired of seeing this weneedbroadband.com website coming up over

That was really clever Matt! Way to think out of the box!

That way, I can integrate some open source monitoring tools there and
