going to the GAC arent committed until the very end of the install. That
means your InstallUtil calls (assuming InstallUtil can reach into the GAC,
Ive never tried) have to come after InstallFinalize. That means that

XsdGen was created by Reid Gustin. He created it for us to provide the WiX
toolset with a CodeDom over the .wxs language. That CodeDom is incredibly
useful in things like heat and ClickThrough. When first evaluating how to

Hmm, 2217 is over 2.5+ years old. That means it was built with 2003 compilers
and an ancient PlatformSDK etc. You really should try a more current build
with current tools. There have been an amazing number of bugs fixed in 2 years.
I don't know what the 2925 build break was about... but the darice.cub is a
file from the Platform SDK. We don't distribute that in the sources but the
build expects to find it in that directory.

That is one of my goals. The internal processes I have with CVS is pretty
complex today. I really want to simplify it but I need to balance that
desire against disrupting v3.5 and v3.6 work.
