I've put the ``Option SyncOnGreen'' in the Monitor section. Do I need a
separate csync option somewhere?
Browsing the source it seems not every driver implements this. I have a choice
of three graphics cards:

We're using a XFree86 Version 4.2.0 on a new board using a LynxEM+ 712 chip

I'm using the silicon motion driver

Something strange is going on. Can you send the output of
scanpci -v ?
That's not one of those Jet brand video cards is it?
There was one taiwan company that made cheap TNT2 cards with
a broken BIOS claiming an invalid PCI ID of 0x002A. The Jet
card can work by forcing XFree86 to detect

of an in-house diskless thin client system which is based
on Linux. I have to build network-bootable images
that run an X session and then run rdesktop
to give the user a Windows environment.

Do a search for TinyX or Kdrive in google, it will show you some
configurations you can use to reduce the size of your X to ~1Mb footprint
and under 4Mb of memory. Although I haven't found much support with this so
good luck.
Hope this helps, let me know how you go.

I've almost got it. In fact, technically I would have to say X is working...except
there's no mouse. Such a small problem. XF86Config and log follow; all suggestions
greatly appreciated! As for things I have already tried: I tried running the mouse on
/dev/input/mice; couldn't open.
