18.04 Processes are being created that are taking up to 30% CPU. They're being stored in /tmp in this format: 6D54-4D74-5EC4-B931 I kill them and a different one pops up. initctl, sleep, systemd and others If anything's going to take 30% CPU, it better be something I started :) Thanks --

I may have sent this before my subscription was processed. If it already appeared, I apologize. Processes keep appearing, eating up to 40% of my cpu. They show up in /tmp. I have absolutely no idea what starts them. They tend to cycle among sleep, gvsfd, initctl and a few others. I kill them

After opening up my search, I found a Debian issue: 'timidity' grabs the card before anything else can. Since I don't need a MIDI to WAV converter, I made it go bye-bye. Hopefully it won't reinstall itself, like it did in Satanic Linux. /s
