Interesting as the Lagunitas website claims it was available from April
until June.

[Zappa-List] Re: Zappa Beer

2008-02-12 Thread Eli Marcus
I don't think that a boutique brewery which puts out a limited edition
beer in honor of FZ
can really qualify as a commercialized memorabilia product of a
celebrity figure,
it certainly is not going to show up at a Toys R Us or Wall Mart store,
nor is
it going to be available through Amazon.com
I believe that it is just a sweet tribute to someone that the brewery
owner really admires
I sure would love to have a bottle...

as far as the action figure dolls go - I have never in my life purchased
memorabilia products for my music heroes other than T-shirts,
but - I'd definitely buy a "Phi Zappa Crappa" doll of FZ sitting on the
toilet all NEKKID just like the old poster from way back when!!!

Before we escalate from modest cauterization to full-flame, let me remind all

Regardless of how we feel about another's point of view, they are - after all -
entitled to it...

While I can't speak for the tastiness factor, you're right, it is. But Gail
being Gail got pissy that the brewery was being friendly with anyone associated
with Ike Willis, more or less.

Love the titles - Lumpy Gravy Beer.

Will there ever be an Uncle Meat Beer, Titties & Beer Beer, Burnt Weeny
