Randolph, it's definitely a very small world. I know we've talked to some of the LBL energy efficiency team and you guys are doing lots of great work.

If you have any friends or coworkers that might be looking to move on to something new while keeping their heads in the Energy Efficiency world I'd love to at the very least get a few of their names. We'll write you a $2,500 check if we end up hiring someone you connect us to.

I'm wryly amused to note that I'm an energy researcher--I work for Lawrence

me anyway.

But I'm filing that e-mail!

As a more direct answer, EnergySavvy (my company) is actively looking for
web savvy developers - previous Python/Django expertise not required but
definitely helpful. We have more customers than we can handle and are
growing to meet demand in a focused way.

We are a startup making software to help governments and utilities operate
and understand their energy efficiency and retrofit programs in a
fundamentally different and drastically better way. We use Django and
python for almost everything we do and have some unique challenges around
our product and infrastructure. Our office is in the heart of Capitol Hill
and the company picks up lunch every day.

Check out our fit-o-meter and see how well you might fit the position: http://www.energysavvy.com/jobs/

Feel free to email me directly - [email protected] if you have specific
questions about the company, position, or the Seahawks chances this year

a. Is it appropriate to post a regular monthly jobs listing to list? [I

Is it not part of SeaPig's core mission to create a positive environment
to network and exchange with other Seattle based Pythonista? I personally
see nothing wrong with direct job post to the list. So long as recruiters
don't get overly crazy or over powering. I came across this last week and
they have offices in Seattle. http://nebula.com/careers/senior-python-engineer/
