I disagree.  I've installed RH on several several servers and only a
few have needed to receive email.  My web, oracle, or network
monitoring machines do not need to receive e-mail.  It is better to
just not run services I don't need.  A 'send-only' sendmail
configuration is just right for a server that is not gong to be a mail
server (I use postfix on my mail servers anyway).  The default
configuration saves me the trouble of recongfiguring sendmail to be
send only anyway.

- And I agree that if you install sendmail and using it as a server it should
- be kept open to connections not closed.  Workstation installs dont' need the
- whole thing so should be nothing there for them to worry about so then you
- keep it closed.
