<<Tell me something. Would you hit yourself if you bought your ECU and
all the bolt ons afterwards, and find out later that they have a new
program for the cams that smoothes out the idle, makes the power curve
smoother, and adds a few peak hp?>>

Oh...I didn't know that I was the only one on the mailing list....
Oh, wait a minute, I'm not. Ok, I must be the only one with aftermarket
mods already on the car....
Oh, shit....wrong there too......guess my post doesn't pertain only to
me, huh? Guess some ppl have already purchased the JWT ECU upgrade, huh?

<<You would end up paying a $100 more to reprogram it since you probably
do want the most you can get out of your car.>>

Well, that is the price to pay for having "up to the date" technology in
their cars, huh? If no one buys the present upgrade, why would JWT
bother improving it? B/c ppl are waiting on the "better" version? Who is
to say they will buy the one? This is the whole reason why we don't have
the cam upgrade to begine with.

<<Why not do things right the first time? Just get all the bolt ons, and
get the ECU last.>>

Why not take the chance that the ECU will never be upgraded for the GA16
(b/c posts like yours scared them off from it, waiting for the "better"
ECU) and get the current one?

<<Maybe they won't have a new program, maybe they will. At least you
will know that you didn't have to spend an extra 100 to reprogram it
when you could've just asked for it in the first place.>>

Previous answer applies.

<<That's all in my opinion of course. We all don't have bottomless
pockets like you ST3.>>

I don't have bottomless pockets, and thanks to Mike K, I don't have to
worry about future upgrades b/c I now know that the current upgrade is
compatable with cams that aren't even out yet :-)
